Theodora Onken

Rays

As shadows tap danced
'Cross a dappled sunset
A forest of Mesquite came alive
By a Guitar quartet
But oblivion soon set in
Head high in the grass
The Wizards concotion-toxic
From sips of the glass
As if gripped by a knife
Tummy hemoraged-burgandy to bright red
Close enough to death-to see the Light
Awakening to inciteful Rays- upon my sick bed

~Green~

The Ivy grows
It climbs the wall
As if reaching
For sunbeams
Of gentle Ole' Sol
Nuture O' nature
Garden Green
Chlorophil
Watered and
Fertilized
Exquisitly alive
Still
Hibiscus garden
Near the water
Fall
Dancing moisture
Dropps
Rainbow colour
Neath' Ole' Sol
Magnifience 'tis

Lover's Garden

Tipped butter yellow-
Glances satin blue sheets
Dawn has a way of making
'Snuggle' so very complete...

Naked shimmers of soft bodies-
Bathed in the heated glow
Perhaps, just another nibble
From the gardens succulent row...

Ah, the garden in the morning-
Two lovers, they get their fill
As the butter rays shimmer-glimmer
Upon the two lovers so still...

Far And Away

Far and away
In Gaia's dew you hide
Far and away
In ethereal mist you glide
Far and away
Through regions of natures rim
Far and away
Until the western ocean grows dim
Far and away
You travel through villages of yore
Far and away
Deep into the essence core
Far and away
'Til Hermes has lived life to full
Far and away
Distance tries it's magnetic pull...

Gift

And so it is
Gift wrapped
And awaiting
The impossible
The improbable
Over-night air
Flight of 'Hope'
So wanting
To be unwrapped
Gift paper
Still in tack
And the ribbon
Too
Saved and
Put away
'Til
That 'maybe'
Fateful day
When all that's
Been penned

Skeleton's

This house holds no secrets
Its tattle-tale bones
Rattle
A visage of truth
Nimble webbed echo's
Stair steps spiral
Ascent or descent
Access rooms
Each a memory
Unto themselves
Covered in dust
Engraved
Etched in stone
Over years of lore
Ah the rumors groan
The roof-indelible
Editor's pen blue
Is attached to a
Foundation
With a century's entire

Summers Night Reality

Desire maps its scrutiny
'Round shadows lusty foreplays
Encapsulating a heated forever
In a 'Never-Ever' kind of day...

Clever contradictions they are
In our heated after-glow
Where two master lovers
Colour this sensual show...

Masters of loves illusions
Magicians of pure delight
Surrender to one another
In the swelter of this summer night!

I Love You...

Ro-Man-ce

I found you

Right before

My very eyes

And i wasn't looking;

Like a bolt out

Of the blue

Lagoon reflecting;

Through still waters

That run deep;

Like baby blue skies

The Dealer

He knows her weakness.
She plays to his senses;
Unremarkable accept for her habit...
Knee high in the snow drifts, she is
He welcomes her needs;
And assists in the quest for eternal sunshine;
Driven by the lowest of lows...
She seeks him out;
Between her late night lines...
And early morning Mimosa's.
He is her favorite enabler-
Her dealer-her poet-her life.

Cancer

Cancer laid itself down
Like black muck
Upon white lace
Devouring every inch
Without hesitation
Or respite;
Filling itself
To the full
Of all that
Once was perfect, tangible;
Unwitting losers
To it's rancorous bite;
Bitterness that far
surpassed the spleen;
A bilious character
Outright mean;
Growing wildly
Often unseen;
In the once Virgin
Bodies of health;
