I Wonder Why?
sometimes i wonder why you left me,
sometimes i wonder why you come back and ask for more then usual,
sometimes i wonder why you went to her and left me.
i guess im not the right one
sometimes i lay in my bed and wonder why did u leave me,
sometimes i see you walkin down the hall and i see you and then i dont see myself beside you.
i guess im not the best
sometimes i wonder to myself how can i get you back and see myself walkin down the halls with my hand in yours and my life in a safe manner.
sometimes i just wonder to myself why you have to leave and hurt me so deeply inside and then come back and want more then you never wanted before
sometimes i wonder if your just using me, and you can come back for more
i guess im not the best or the one
sometimes it kills me inside to walk through these halls and see you with her and not with me, we were so perfect together i think.
i guess wondering why will never help to get the answer you have to man upp and ask: (

Heart Of A City
In this city excitement happens everyday,
No two days play out the same,
For the nightlife is cool to the extreme,
Where sometimes gangs play their games,
But most people just congregate in the city's bars,
As they listen to jazz, rock and all kinds of music,
For this is the heart of a city,
And car follows car: sometimes picking up hookers,
Yet usually on their way to the colourful nightlife,
To chat, laugh and dance throughout the night,
And sometimes - yes - there are fights,
But whatever goes on, no one seems to care,
Gangs of girls tottering on their high heels,
And young men drinking beer from cans,
And this is paradise, this is life,
And the city buzzes with people,
All searching for inner truth,
Trying to find somewhere to replace their stolen youth,
But soon the night will turn to morning,
And a vibrant new day will begin,

On Joe White's Ninetieth Birthday
So many he knew in his younger years to life have come and gone
But like the great man that he is Joe White keeps on keeping on
Ten years short of his century in his ninetieth year of life
I remember him and his daughter daughter Bibi and his now long deceased wife.
He and his wife and daughter went to live in America many decades ago
But they returned to Ballydaly to live amongst old friends they did know
He has done his share of travelling but the love of home is strong
And he is back in Tubber where he feels he does belong.
One of the elder citizens of the Parish of Millstreet
He is as nice a person as one could wish to meet
I have fond memories of him and of his ready smile
He is one of those nice people that I've not seen for some-while.
In the Wallis Arms in Millstreet Town for him a surprise party where a great night was had by all
And I bet at the happy gathering old times they did recall
Joe White has turned ninety and enjoying his lengthy life span
And it truly can be said of him that he is a gentleman.

The old cathedral spire,
Wave after endless wave they came
The whining drones the sounds from hell,
