Alice Parris

The Breech

Over-cast skies
foretold my isolation.
A veil reveals the
breech between us.

Walls, resurrected,
watch me curl into
the fetal position.

I am a prisoner
of my own will,
shrouded in loneliness.

Little Boy, What Are You Looking For?

Little boy with loose skin for
Stockings and Bengay for
Your stocking stuffers.

Romantic glimpses
Of Teutonic blondes
And raven-haired vixens
Hammer like hurricanes
When Shirez is afixin'.

Your mind, a steel trap,
Cannot keep thoughs of
love from parading their
Luminous wings like fairies.

Little boy,
What are you looking for?
What do you choose to sing?
