Edges Of A Muse
I trace my thoughts over ragged edges
His latent uncertainties played taut
Realities tango, some for want, some on a roll
Unable to resist borders, edges close in
He queries me on shenanigan thoughts
And I quiz him about his solo life
Answers left in canvases un-sketched
They color palettes left untouched yet
I sketch him out from old sunshine
From corridors around him that don't quite give
I see him poised on forgotten rainbows
Where thoughts turn in as languages go mute
I watch him race life, and I bar my gypsy thoughts
Turning away from the realities he is threading
He fights hard, his battles deep and honest
While I watch, painting different sunsets

Entangled Flames
Darkness opened his trunk to pull out solitude
Laying it thick, blinding possibilities and warding off love
Nimble feet as they are, possibilities come tip-toeing back
Dragging quaint love on stockinged feet, hush around fires
Vigilant reason raises his unsure hood, looking lost
It must be a bit of the lurking yearning that cant hold down
Quizzed and perhaps a bit tired, reason knows little else
Holding on fast, chained from the opened trunk
Don't kill it, prays mystery from her cloister,
On fingers clenched over beads of dormant desires
This could be it, she could be the one, thought a future
But the chains steel in, because reason knows many ugly heads
That's the limbo for now, where nothing stands on tiptoes too
Poised over sweetness that perhaps may never be had
That's life tossing around, coming circles from hidden roads
Drawing impossibilities together from entangled flames …

My Surrender
A time to cry, put aside
Locked up in my eternity's void
I will cry another day
When I can handle this madness better
Under insane words I hide
Knives in my soul, love in my rhythm
My sanity mocks my existence
I fall apart as my divinity claims all
I smell the lotuses
And witness beauty seduce everything…
Everything melts, every cell lights up
The power of beauty, the seducer, the spiritual…
Turn around Time, its your hour to go
No more linear hours to pile up morality
Your rules will fall apart, stumble and disappear
Disintegrate to shake these centuries off

A Phantom's Story
His light steps on the cobbled streets
Caught fire from those feverish memories
They had walked hand in hand everywhere
Kissing moon-beams on each other
That thirst he knew so well, parched him again
His lenses heavy around his solo evening
He seared away every curious glance his way
Turning inwards, into her, his sole memory
He had loved her every sun-kissed way,
She had lived his dark hours on her song-wings
Their memories entangled from ways and lives
He is a phantom in places now, lone from her death
Water-stories from Venice, marble-history from Florence
The orchards that melodied their purple-flowered doorways
Nectar that seduced swollen bees and wine evenings,
Were all just cover-page beauty now, shipped to the waiting world

Gnomes and a fairy tale
The gnomes totter in to watch her turn nights
Her hair in flames, and people around looking in
The freak is once again at it - they laugh
As she stares glass-eyed; gnomes spell treasure time..
Forests perch pretty on her pillow, and guard
Night sounds lullaby their hushed whispers
Little rivulets of silent sadness meander slowly
Down her past, that crazy, nightmarish childhood
And then at midnight, the fairies dance in
When the moon powder down little stars on her
The sadness is over, they chorus the night
And little sacks opened, the gnomes hand out joy
Her soul in hundred fragments; wandering gypsies,
She is scattered in tales, bundled on folk lore
The king of dreams, and the queen of tragedies
They are all her, the jester with no big mission

Maze
I would do anything for an honest song
Without the noise and fractal moments to chain me
I would spiral in motes that reach every truth's edge
Weave around the lurking lies drowning all tenderness
I am paused, in my life around beauty that cant breathe
From searing minds, a million cracks on every one of my nights
I walk a bit further away each time, shrugging off minds
Not knowing if this life can hold on to me any longer
I see fabrics of every thought, entwined in gossamer hopes
Swinging in winds of eternal changes; wishes on rapids
Too hard to resist, the churn all too familiar and too painful
Storm-dancing into some reality's sodden pages
Damp, like faces whose tears never wore their sorrow
I clench and unclench in knots of every ancient lore
Turn to me Truth, look at me; I am your goddess
Your future ahead, the move that you wouldn't dare as yet

Shell-girl
They dance in the shadows, Darkness and her
In tireless mystery, pouring out her life
Lighting paths that go dark again relentlessly
She holds secrets from beyond all reaches
Some mysteries he won't grasp, ones he can't fathom
She dances on, on the highways of discarded time
Bracing to destiny, their coherence veiled
They dance in masks - Darkness and the Shell-girl
Dusty highways disappear under their phantom feet
As they dance around the blazing fires of void
Round and round, Darkness and the Shell-girl
To music that Silence surged into the Ether
Then, a moment came she was sure to leave her shell
But the next had her heaving in fright,
The mask was not his that she could have him discard
It was from Time, while she had thrown hers away

Song of Madness
Listless and empty, History revisits this winter
Slow moons on the icy river, pale and restless
Shadows jump out, from long abandoned moments
To flee the nights, painted on frozen windows
Darkness whispers his insane monologue
Waiting breathless on a nervous Christmas
Cloaked in brilliant rituals, Life turns up again
Crunching thoughts, to wake up sleeping Hope
Love and Impossibility sat around their dinner table
Passing gifts to eat out of their torrid lives
Some wrapped in tenderness, and some in secrets
Were all eaten in silence, sipping on blood-red thirst
Don't ask the dawn what she has for her new day
She cant sing, when History is still prowling
Everybody is waiting for Christmas to dance in
To slip out on Darkness, to Life and her moves

Kaleidoscope
The final nail always hangs like the Damocles sword
Like a subtle sentence thrown in on caution's edge
Some love cant fully embrace, no not entirely yet
A sensitive woman who finds herself her lover's mistress,
A decade and a half of a chasm between two lovers, in years
Walk the shadows, as whispers rustle like palm leaves
From thoughts that always binge - two steps forward and then one back
Caught in the slow poisoning of a self-righteous world
As it snares, tighter and tighter - the churn of ignorant minds
The inherent pull of norms that eventually spills everything else
Spilt love, spilt loyalty, spilt silent promises that rips days to shreds
Till Eden's found once again, wisdom apples thrown in afresh
Serpents are passé, just the same fears over and over again
To love back because you want it all; a little more each day
