Human Race (keep your bearings)
Human race is never what you're thinking
it's not a competition
I recommend you do not try
Trials lead you to a sentence
sentence makes you cry
Trials full of worry
worry till you die
worry makes you sweat
sweating makes you wet
fret some more...you're mine
Human race was made
for humming mantras
meditation on a bearing race
on a pulley on a spline
Zen is an art to play
playin's more than grind

Love and Optimism Roll
When love and optimism stroll in the straw
the future is born without fang or claw
Where is there a negative love?
Who wants/needs it?
and its chemical glove
What we have is soaring sensational blithe
we live through twists, trysts and ti raids
Even so we carry our hearts on our wings
very song of very warm breeze
eating nourishment all of our days

The shot heard 20,000 leagues away
A colt has bolted
a man is manning up
like shot from a 45
there was manic in the music
an Indian nap in a city
sound asleep
A ringleader conducting a symphony
of bodies in motion
toward a goal
win was in the w2inde
for it was in his hands
and in his special heart
A man in go few faults
striped necked in the news
in this Peyton place world
we place our faith
in something more than place
our faith is placed in you.

What's Time Got To Do With IT
Love is just a time
measured out in moments under spelled
we come together
on somebody's whim
A wrinkle on the face of space
We could have missed it all in a wink
You and I were pressed
together in a blink
lashed as if by ropes of hash
marked forever for our fever
Too many prove that time trumps love
it all wears out
like sand erasers of a wave
goodby to love
tics time
before we bury our regret
in clocks of our own tocking

Neck Romancey
I once fell for a girl
But I fell on her neck
it was such a lovely neck
So white and smooth
Why did she lie so still
She could have lied while running
when she died she clutched my neck
Like a hen setting her nest
I cried but loved her anyway
Right before she died she sang
'Oink three times to the Selig 4 you boink me
Twice on the pipes if you want me to blow'
Then she was gone...annihilated....killed like a bottle o cheap rum

No Bell World?
Living in a Nobel world
marinate in oyster hurl
you're the smartest occupant
barely Bailey's sycophant
power forces will
brassy minds rebel
rebels die to peal away
anarchies reign to raise your grain
give me liquidity or give me bread
parlor trick...now he's dead
no cook but red he's fed
His gold was never colder
currency of last resort
bake me some refined retort
Hamlet tried and died
lives on as a howl
cry
all for a lack of ears

Symmetry
There was so much symmetry
In the cemetary it just made you want to stay
As if planted in cement
the similitude was not in headstones
though order ruled there too
No it was the solitude...the silence
As if humans were really made for this
No crush of useless voices
No sniping...or complaints
No crying or ornate crooning
or baying at the moon
Just that blessed stillness
Mocking seminary thoughts
Maybe all this cemetery symmetry is heaven after all

The Prints In The Palace
You were my friend(still are I hope)
I hung my prints in your palace
never expecting another look
You read my thoughts so well
my mouth was truly dry
I thought about your lips
and what's appealing to the eye
The never-ending onion
was placed over the kitchen stove
so my tears would hide within the stew

Life's Hiden Sliver
To find Life's hidden sliver
overlooked by Pharisees
hugging mud of Philistine ditch
not that Zeus was that neglectful
but that Olympus was/is
that lame vagina the
one that really won't perform
deformed by memories or the
lack thereof...who knows
but hidden sliver still remains
a rushing stream to be

Bending Grass
Father swore....again
I moved another bead
on my multicolored abacus
I wondered who 'his' shepherd is
Then I remembered the lore
I'd heard....about his days
on hills above the town
nights watching sheep and stars
alone with his simple self
varmints greedy eyes waiting
to see him yawn
He kept them safe
they murmured still
restless as down
on prairie's lawn
All he said was
My eyelids ate of glass
a spiritual snake to pass
though my name's unknown
I watch you bending grass
