In the white collar

In the white collar
Of the lowly sparrow
Puts me to mind of the priest
And the flying nun
I use to watch on b & w t v
T V outs me to mind
Patty Duke
And the twins
My sister and brother
Family raised in a cruel year
My brother puts me to mind
Of the men I call family
The gays met at the bar
The bar puts me to mind
Of the men I took home
Just for once for a night of joy
Joy puts me to mind
Of the time I expressed with setime puts me to mind
That now I am old
And self assured

Rope hair woman

Rope hair woman
Where you’re off to tonight
Rope hair woman
You’re lookin’ out of sight
O rope hair woman
I love with all my might
Rope hair woman if you could if you can
Let me be your dread lock man.
Dread lock man
Can you understand
That a rope hair woman
Does all that she can
To move you to that sexual point
Better then your hand
O rope hair woman
Here is my plain
Rope hair woman I will give
Up my womanly man
O rope hair woman
The world can understand

The animal soul of man

The animal soul of man
Holy by the blood
The soul that roam outside
Of the body
To be caught up with in dreams
What is wild by the soul?
The animal companion
That roams the wilderness
And the city at night
The sun of the day God
The four corner holding up the sky
O nine levels of hell
O Eighteen Rabbet
Now gone through
The underworld to heaven
Of the ancestors
The blood letting of the genital
The rope of thorns through the tongue
The sun of night journey through hell
Eight Monkeys come into my heart.

Around The Soul Sit nature

Around the soul sit nature
To be able to remain
Also to suffer
The fixed side of
The passenger man
What route
This strange pair travel
What waits
At the road’s end
Who is the master
Who to conquer
Side by side they travel
In the small quarter of a car
Pass towns and brave valleys
In the emptiness of a heart
Side by side pass trains of thoughts
Treatment of misfortune fought against itself
And pass land witnessing it’s lost of treasure
Which will be the first to tremble
At the subject of this theatre

A Blues Song

I’m coming home
I’m coming home
And it won’t be long
Till I lay my burden down
This burden that I carry
You know that it gave me no rest
But I kept the pace with the very best
I’m coming home
I’m coming home
My baby said that he didn’t love me
And you know that he done me wrong
When I woke up in the morning
my baby was gone
I’m coming home
I’m coming home
And it won’t be long
Till I lay my burden down
This burden that I carry
You know that it gave me no rest
But I kept the pace with the very best

Silent As Snow Falling To The Ground

Silent as snow falling to the ground
The speckled air abound
As whiteness cover all
First snow of the season
Tracks of white tail rabbits,
Squirrel in the sycamore
Shadow of the chain linked fence
Quietness sits by the door.
A poet’s pen to paper
To comprehend
What is piling deep in the cold
He mark this singular passing
This silent thing of its own doing
The wind blows a snow song
Without words or instruments
A song for the eyes and what pretends
To be the soul
And I twirl around and flair my arms
To sing along.

God, Undispensed In Its Gathering

God, undispensed in Its gathering
Always want to be alive,
To participate in our lives
Likewise we in Its.
Unprepared dancing
The kind whish catches us up through music
And throws heat from our bodies,
Heat created in Its present.
Unprepared dancing
Heat wave from us reaching you and you
Gather us up to one necessity
And each is swamp heat unprepared
And dancing God alive
Till some other God says
“Rejoice in stillness”
We will not listen.
We want heat
Close to light
And we dance, dance, dance
To God’s heat line.

Baseball players have the worst body in sports

Baseball players have the worst body in sports
Gymnast and swimmers have the best
High board divers are fit and firm in form
And football players have to much fat
Ballet dancers look fine in their cups
Long distance runners are tight by their breath
Weight lifers are much to bulky in their built
So which is it that I like best?
It is the ice skater that takes my heart
Their movement of grace pleases me to no end
The way they twist trill and bend
The way they lean upon the narrow blade
Jump and sway with a skater’s grace.

I have fallen out of love with man

I have fallen out of love with man
We can not think together
He wishes to war his stay away
I wish to piece together peace.
Each battle for the soul of man
Is a battle fought on the wings
And the song that I sing toward peace
Each soul must be schooled to know
That the heat of war must grow cold
And we shall no more kill the life of our brothers
It’s a simple thing to let love ring
Its bell to tell that war is
A murder field
Man when will you seek to
End your murder, to call home
The boys that will ware a bullet hole in his chest.

How to say nothing

Increasing awareness of him suffice
Themselves to the very same expression
Of tonal revolution as it concern
The black man and the gay man
Caught up in racism of
The tribal technology of an
Brotherhood of languages
That is the cohesive force.
But let us not be deceived
By this simplistic cover
Less we fall pray to the
Private armies of the blacks
Armies of unprecedented honor
Armies to withstand the house servants attack
The betrayals of the
Migrating blacks
Increasingly durning
The tragedy was the
Alarming survival rate
During starving times
