Crescent Moon

I looked up at the night sky
to look at the crescent moon.
I saw a shooting star
and I made a wish.
Only the future holds the secret
whether my wish
will ever come true.

The Biggest Enemy

The biggest enemy to mankind
is mankind itself.
It destroys a bit of our world
day after day.
One day they might realise
not everything you destroy
comes back another day.

A Tantalizing Euphoria

The sun smiles upon our face
embracing our inner self
with a tantalizing euphoria
of summer’s radiant glow
amongst the bitter winds of winter
and its billowing snow.

Bitter Sweet Memories

We all have bittersweet memories
of love lost in the game.
Their names we remember,
how could we ever forget them?
They were for no matter
how short of time
part of our lives.

Love And Tender Care

Each heart has a home
where it finds safety there
with someone’s tender loving care.
Someone who will
mend any broken spirit there.
Someone who will shelter it
with love and tender care.

Red Roses In A Vase

Red roses in a vase
for you on Valentines Day.
One rose for every year
you’ve known one another
and your love has grown.
Now if you counted them
how many would you get?

On The Wind Of Mistrust

I look out my window
and see the rain,
falling like teardropp
against my windowpane.
Our love has gone
now withered to dust,
scattered and blown away
on the wind of mistrust.

Defeating An Enemy

We live in a world full of enemies,
or so we are lead to believe.
The best way to defeat an enemy
is not with bullets or bombs.
The best way to defeat an enemy
is to make that enemy a friend.

Dance Of Love

With tender looks
you fall into one another’s arms
the warm embrace
turns into passion there
as two hearts now beat as one.
Then the passion overflows
and the dance of love starts to begin.

Each Other’s Words

We sit around a table,
listening to poems spoken,
on different subjects.
Each one has a message
for each of us sitting there.
Each of us seeing,
something different,
in each other’s words.
