Lines And Tied Ends
Lines they say
Go on for, forever and a day
When I was but a youth I would say ok
But not today
For an expression comes to mind... how fey
For with this expression I must inveigh
For I have heard 'This is the end of the line'
But this defies logic and math
Maybe the end of a path
But not a line
Interesting it would take some time
To understand this, so I use this concept in a rhyme
This rhyme baleful in nature and maybe vile
Ugly like bile
Yet I need to tell
This story to stay well
The ends are tied, they are done, the ends are tied

Just Can't Help It
Honestly I try to react normal and act how I feel
But when you smile I can't help but reciprocate
Sad or pensive, glad or enraged.... i don't mean to complicate
The Simple fact, but this is a dsease from which i cannot heal
Because your smile is fatally contagious
And forces me to smile no matter what the circumstance
I wonderr if you've noticed this trend between us...
But I seriously doubt that you have... not a chance
While your smile is electric mine goes 'unnoticed'
I don't have the same ffect on you that you have on me
When you see
My smile I wonder what it means to you...
But when you smile I just can't help it
It seems wrong and nnatraul to resist
But unfortunately even if I want to I can't help it
There is no help because there's no cure
And there's no cure because there's nothing wrong!
But something doesn't feel right when it's one...

There's Power In Ambiguity
She knows there's power in ambiguity
And she lords it over me
Not even flaunting it like some gift but shoving it my face
Being rude and ignoring me enough to make question are we even friends? !
And nice enough to keep me close, leaving me to crave more, she sends
These mixed signals and I can't keep pace
While her true feelings remain hidden as she wields her power
I can feel it sap my strength hour after hour
I can't do this forever
O these ties I wish I could sever
But there's nothing I can do because I'm pushed far away like a stranger
Yet drawn closer through nicety to my greatest danger
And overwhelming desire
It's ALL her
But she wields ambiguity, the greatest weapon: ' Not Knowing'
The cruelest response: not showing: affection or love when its given you
Being incapable of saying those words: I love you too
Much less to be the one who starts the compliments
But the one who repulses me, like I'm some sort of offense

What A Scary Thing
It is quite a fearful thing
When you're in the presence of the King
What a scary event
When you realize this body is just a tent
It is fearful to hear the voice of God
We say we want signs
We say we want miracles
Atheists say they want God to speak
But they, and we, know not what we ask
To hear Almighty God
This voice is still and small
But it sways the hearts of men
It demands action
Do you really want Him to speak?
Can you handle what He'll say?
Almighty God's voice
What a scary and awesome power
The voice that called the universe to be

Like No Tomorrow
It's time to live life like there's no tomorrow
Time to forget all the sorrow
Move on and trust
Do not put your faith in that which may rust
Or which moth may devour
Or things that go sour
Instead live your life without that doubt and disbelief
Throw away your grief
Make the most of that day
So that you won't have to say
I wish I would've done better, because you'll have done your best
And shrugged off the worry about the rest
But how does one achieve such peace and rest?
Put your trust in
The One who takes away sin
The only and true God, who gives such peace and joy
The one who gives a purpose and more than that... one you will enjoy
A purpose that is fulfilling
Just be willing
For once humble yourself and have faith, and live your life

There's a lot more to caring than knowing
There's a lot more to caring than saying
There's a lot more to caring than thinking
You can 'know' you care
Think you care
Convince yourself you care, even think that you genuinely care
But that really isn't fair
If your actions don't match
The attitude of caring
The attitude of loving

It's the ones who don't

It's a day like any other, A day to expect
Except
It's full of surprises
Trying to draw a portrait is tough
Because nothing that can be drawn is ever enough
A picture cannot represent who you are
It's not even close but far
Because paint, yolks, plaster, and pencil don't make a man
Instead what makes a man is not what is shown
But what is inside; the character grown
There is no artist who can
Show who I really am
Because even my appearance
Is about as trustworthy as chance

What is love when it's not returned?
What is my affection when it's spurned?
Can a love flourish
When it's not 'us'
When it's just 'me'
Will this love cease to be?
Can a love grow strong
And last long...

And it's not mutual, will it not be short sighted

More Than Words
True Love
you cant express those feelings with just words, they go beyond
to let her know just how fond
you are of and how much you care
because no word could even dare
to come close to the meaning that is love, because its more than said
it's more then what you think of in your head
but its inexplicably more, since you cannot profess a love
with just speech
its not something like a dove
that can be caged or fully expressed, but through actions you can teach
someone of your feelings by sacrifice and devotion
to get your love in motion
and maybe then, only then when you dont know you dont just
love the idea, maybe then she'll understand its not just lust
but you'll always love her for who is
and when that times comes, you won't need the words
because your love will be unspokenly more
its the kind of love that is at the core
that cuts to the heart and lasts forever
