Perhaps tomorrow

No inspiration
Comes to me tonight

Perhaps it never will…
To my great sorrow

one creative bolt…and
I could set the world right

Well…if maybe not tonight…
then perhaps tomorrow

A blind eye

Lord knows why
we just can’t read

The handwriting emblazoned
on the wall

It says… “ So this is what
I don’t love you, feels like”

And… “time… makes fools
of us all.”

Piece of cake (Oooo, that sounds good!)

My diet's not working
It's easy to see
And my waist isn't
Getting any smaller

So in a splash of perspiration
I'm overwhelmed with inspiration
Instead of losing weight
I'll just grow taller!

Slats of sunshine…
laddered light

Beating back
the Stygian night

Fireflies clothed
in orbs of gold

Seek sleepy refuge,
from pre-dawn cold

While daybreak dithers…

Grey hair…
Red wrinkled cheeks

Warm smile, always ready
Oer the years, days and weeks

Time worn fingers
Thin gold band… so old
