A caged bird`s plea
In the cage for years,
this cage my home,
a wingless bird
forgotten how to fly
You have cut my wings Oh! man
in the cage let me be,
my folks are away, know not where
do not set me free

The whispering woods
Through sunshine and rain,
from across oceans and sand,
gentle wind from your woods
stops in my land,
whispering in my ear
a song so dear,
You are not miles away
but in the fragrance near.

Rise
You have to become
the candle
to bring light
why wait for the sunrise
You have to
dig your path
and watch the flowers
grow wayside
You have to free
your clipped wings
and set yourself
to fly...

Roses...!
Flowers you send
bring joy and warmth
roses from your garden
is all that i want
soft petals unfold
your songs so dear
you are not miles away
in the fragrance near
oceans cannot
do us apart
as love blossoms
in our heart....

A friend who is miles away
It is here we met
by the seaside,
It is here we said goodbye,
though many years have gone by
I still come here with a sigh,
in the setting sun,
to get a glimpse of thee
and to find my tears
that have mingled with the sea

Blessing
A gentle beam,
from the weary eyes,
pierced into the dark zone,
unfolding its radiant wings,
emanating a huge glow.
The stones fall,
from the gnawing walls,
the rubble turns,
into a glorious chapel
and death rose to leave

Spring
when the leaves turn green
and meadows beam
when the flowers blossom
with exotic sheen
when the bees hum
and butterflies flutter
their golden wings
when the earth smiles
to the lord in heaven
wiping the sombre
to welcome the spring..

The flowers of May
There was a time
when they would sway
with elegance and pride
the flowers of May
sad and shrivelled
on your coffin lay
they are with you
the flowers of May
Their master no more
they sing a sad song
and go along............

The Old Man`s Fiddle
The fig tree bare
branches stare
homeless birds
who will care?
Roses shrivel
petals fall
creepers limp
on the wall
Autumn leaves
on the earth dry
in the dark
the sparrows cry
who will light the lamp?
the old man is gone
his fiddle is heard
in the streets at dawn...

Born Again
Your soul awake
beneath flowers white,
leaves gleam
in spring daylight
Birds in glee
flap their wings,
on the oak tree
the cuckoo sings
In grass green
violets bloom,
lifting my sorrow
and deep gloom
As I walk on the road
rough and steep,
your footsteps follow
I no more weep
