Spellbound
A bluebell wood, such a sight to see,
Blue haze wrapped softly around each tree.
Sweet perfume just drifting through the air,
Oh, how I wish that I could be there.
So restful to the eyes and the mind,
A beauty that is so well defined.
One sea of blossom over the ground,
Oh, how I wish to observe, spellbound.
Those stems of bells, that silently ring,
Welcoming in the newly born spring.
A mass of flowers, a carpet fine,
Oh, how I wish that they could be mine.

Looking Through The Window
The waiting room was empty
when she entered through the door,
The train whistle reminded her,
of what she was here for.
Another fifteen minutes
until his train came in,
And would he recognise her,
her head was in a spin.
For it was simply ages
since she'd looked into his eyes,
And looking through the window,
saw the same blue in the skies.
Perhaps she shouldn't be here,
her husband she'd betray,
So with tears descending down her face,
she slowly walked away.

Luscious Guy
Branches reaching to the sky,
'climb up' says I,
up high,
where I can spy
that luscious guy
who's caught my eye.
He is nearby
but he's kind of shy,
perhaps a smile is worth a try.
Oh My!
I can't deny
he could add stimuli
and he's very spry.
I'm pretty sure that he could electrify, or even petrify,
but he would very certainly, satisfy.
He'd be my sweetie pie,

Your Imagination
Follow the wonderful dream that you’re making,
Hang on to the vision as dawn is breaking,
A fantasy of your very own making,
is a glorious story told.
Let it lift your heart as it is warming,
Watch it grow upwards, and as it is forming,
A pride will arise as a new stage is dawning,
for this glorious story told.
Wake up and find that your imagination,
Becomes reality, great celebration,
Never give up on your new inspiration,
with this glorious story told.

A Captivating Sight
The artist's brush scoops up the shades of green,
and creates a scene.
Trees, banks, deep valleys, fields and gentle hills,
how the picture fills.
Some vivid yellows in the sunshine's rays,
on his canvas, blaze.
Rich blue envisaged in the summer sky,
is the perfect dye.
Such subtle shadows to be applied in black,
require the knack.
The whole portrayal is a captivating sight,
with highlights, white.
Then somewhere you'll find a signature in grey,
inscribed - Manet.

God Of All Creation
God of all creation,
Enter into my soul.
Let me feel the love you show,
So that I your kindness know,
Help me please to learn and grow,
Making my spirit whole.
God of all creation,
Enter into my soul.
Let me feel your presence near,
So that I will have no fear,
And your name to so revere,
Make my spirit your goal.
God of all creation,
Enter into my soul.
Lift me up when I am down,
Take away my solemn frown,
Wrap me in a holy gown,
My spirit to thus console.

The Wheels Of Life
The wheels of life keep turning,
Propelling us along,
And as they go, we're learning,
To, be both soft and strong.
To take laughter, fun and pleasure,
To take grief, sadness and tears,
And when we've had full measure,
Along come other fears.
This world can be so splendid,
But also hard and cruel,
And as one hurt is mended,
Along comes a renewal.
So take each day, and value it,
Once gone it can't return,
Just treasure every single bit,
And give each your concern.

A True Friend
He laughed and I laughed with him,
He joked and I joked too,
He smiled and took away despair,
And with it, the doldrums flew.
He raised my spirits upwards,
And left no dread behind,
He was the perfect anecdote,
He was so sweet and kind.
The heart can become heavy,
With all the pressures found,
And when this starts to happen,
You need him to be around.
We all need some uplifting,
We all need light relief,
If one can do this for someone,
It's a gift beyond belief.

One Tree
Against a clear and deep blue sky,
One tree stretched tall, its branches high,
And stiffly they, of movement none,
Stood true and straight, their course to run.
The wind it whistled strong, and shrilled
Between those branches, stiff and chilled,
But not one twig could it but sway,
And having tried, swept on its way.
Against a clear and deep blue sky,
One tree stretched tall, its branches high,
And with great dignity, it kept its stance,
No wind would ever make it dance.

The Diagnosis
I feel as though, there's a numbness in my head,
But I'm not dead,
My brain is fighting through thick clouds of fluff,
Indistinguishable stuff,
Reactions are of a slow and thickening kind,
Enveloping the mind,
With tiredness setting in, and responses slow,
Of thoughts, there is no flow,
This trauma that has hit us sharp and cruel,
Has left me short of fuel; ,
Energy has petered out and so,
I'm feeling pretty low,
But positive I know I have to be,
For 'him'. you see!
