Hardened And Tempered
I once was forsaken
Broken and blind
I was lost in the darkness
I was lost in my mind
Hardened and tempered
Refined of all dross
Hardened and tempered
Whatever the cost
And then I found Jesus
Now forever I'll be
Bathed in your beauty
Closer to thee
Hardened and tempered
And only for thee
Hardened and tempered
To thine arms I flee

Psalm 12
Help oh Lord for the Godly man ceases
And the enemy pours in and breaks to pieces
The poor the afflicted and those who are needy
Are condemned by the vile, the wicked, the greedy
Now I will arise and deliver the poor
And deliver him safely through an open door
For my Word is like silver, tried and true
I will preserve them forever, though they be but few

Psalm 64
Hear my cry O God
Hold me in thy arms
Hear my cry O God
Protect me from all harm
They seek to kill me Lord
Pull back your bow
They seek to kill me Lord
May it not be so
Let your arrows fly
Keep me safe at night
Let your arrows fly
Move with all your might
You are the King of Kings
I am your child
You are the Lord of Lords
Loving, gentle, mild

Psalm 70
Let our God be magnified
For He makes my woes take flight
He rides upon the winds of joy
His glory lights up the night
We are poor and needy Lord
Without you we are lost
We fall before your throne of grace
In thanks, you paid the cost
Hear me Lord O don't delay
I love you more and more each day
And forever you will hear me say
All glory to the King

Psalm 45
You are fairer than the sons of men
Full of grace and majesty
Omnipotent and glorious
Sweet blessed Trinity
And in your majesty you ride
On the backs of love and grace
You live and reign forevermore
You are perfect in all your ways
Your throne O God is eternal
And majestic are all your ways
You are greater than the sons of men
Without number are all your days.

Psalm 65
You raised up the mountains
And filled the mighty seas
The valley's clothed with splendor
Men fall down upon their knees
You crown the years with goodness
And the valleys they do sing
The earth cries out and glorifies
Our Christ the risen King
So sing aloud ye mountains
Choirs of angels I can see
They glorify and lift their voice
Of how you set men free

Psalm 62
My soul waits silently for God
He alone is my defence
In a cruel and wicked world
He alone makes sense
Trust in Him all ye people
Find your strength in Him alone
All else is lies and vain imagination
It's Calvary's work that does atone
This life is but a vapor
And riches cannot save your soul
Lift up your eyes and see the power
Christ alone must be your goal

Psalm 38
Oh Father in your hot displeasure
Your arrow pierces deep
There is no soundness in my flesh
And my eyes continually weep
My sins consume me night and day
Foul and festering are my wounds
My heart it fails, I have no strength
And in the darkness I am consumed
I will declare my iniquity
And suffer turmoil for all my sin
Do not forsake me oh my Lord
Save me from what lies within

Psalm 92
The sun arises in the morn
And so begins another day
And hope in me it is re-born
I come before my Lord and pray
The foolish man cannot conceive
The glory of your majesty
The senseless man does not believe
For he is blind he cannot see
He shall be gone come the morrow
And dwell forever in his sorrow
The righteous man shall dwell in peace
And his fruitfulness shall never cease

Psalm 17
You have tested my heart
In the depths of the night
My transgressions are gone
From you they take flight
You have tried me oh Lord
Refined in your fire
I fell exceedingly low
But you lifted me higher
Under the shadow of your wings
I have taken my place
I hide myself in thee
As I gaze into your face
You arose and delivered
By your mighty sword
Strong is your right arm
In your presence and Word.
