The First Miracle (Bible Poems for Children)

The wedding party had begun,
Mary looked for Jesus, her
son.

They had ran out of wine,
The wedding party could not
dine.

She asked Jesus, solve this
somehow,
He simply said, my time is
not now.

His mothers face was all
gloom,
As he looked across the room.

Six empty jars in corner sat,
Jesus said. fetch me that.

Riding The Wind Together

My mind wandered aimlessly
to another place and time
far away in the distance
heard the wind gathering
rhymes.

The miracle of the wind
called me
as it galloped through
the meadows
come my darling, stay with
me
and ride the wind together.

The wind danced before my
eyes
I heard the wind howling
begging, sweeetheart come
to me
we'll ride the wind together.

Somewhere In Fantasy Land

Yesterday, as we strolled
together in a fantasyland,
I was taken back to another
time of our youth.

A handsome young man, a
young naive girl, holding
hands. Looking at each
other with stars in their
eyes.

Anticipating tomorrow.

The grassy meadows were
lush and green. Valleys
were ablaze of color.

Baby buds yawned, waking up
from their long winters nap.
Began to open their eyes

Infatuation

Infatuation is a temporary
emotion. It is ever fleeting,
as a cloud drifting by

As if a tree developing buds.
Their green leaves turn gold,
then brown, finially a wind
blowing them to the ground.
As they lay there, they
return to the earth and they
are gone.

They are ever changing like the
seasons, warm, hot, cool, and
cold.
Cool in Spring, warming up for
the Summer heat and passion.
But as the cool winds of Autumn
begin to blow, they tend to cool
and prepare for the icy chills

Children Do Not Suffer

As I look out on this sea of
suffering children. I cannot
turn away, and look into the
distance, and pretend I have
not seen, and I do not know
of their sad journey in this
life.

I am led to respond to their
needs. My heart is aware.
In God's eye these childen
are most precious.Their
needs must be attended to.

To whom much is given, much
is expected. If we look away,
the price we pay will much
greater than the few dollars
we would give to help their
development.

A Beautiful Poet/Afzal Shauq

Afzal Shauq, is a beautiful
poet. His sensitivity shines
through in his thoughts, and
poetry.

He grabs his readers attention,
carries them along with him
on his poetic journey.

Experiencing his emotions. This
sets him apart from other
writers.

He has a kind, gentle, caring
spirit, which I adore in a
person.

His inner beauty makes him
very special. Having a true
compassion for all mankind.

Magic Meadows (Somewhere In Fantsayland)

In soft green magic
meadows
Quiet, lush, and serene,
Pattern a beautiful carpet,
Near a peaceful water
stream.

There will be little houses,
Standing in a row,
Around the houses, planted
lots of mistletoe.

Heathers lite the passion,
Between their world and
mine,
Planting lots of fruit trees,
So our fairy friends can dine.

Roses, Pansies, and Tulips
have lovely heads,

Gardens Season Of Dreams Alqaed/Burns (Cinquain)

OH.!
You tiny
dropp of dew
dampen its thirsty flowers
gently.

A
lovely face
in my memory
as delicate as a
doll.

Hair
so soft
to the touch
more smooth than finest
silk.

Eyes
so green

You Don't Know It

You don't know it, but I
do,
One day, I fell in love with
you.
It happened so quickly,
at a glance,
I did'nt even have a
chance, to resist you.
You don't know it, but I do,
I keep having flashbacks
of you.
In my mind, I see you there,
I tried hard, not to stare.
The rain was falling, sky
was gray,
There had been a brighter
day.
You don't know it, but I do,
I never thought this could
be true.
