A Blinding Beauty

Stay still so I can admire your portraits
You gazed at me like an angel who will never wake up
Your eyes are blurred with messages and regrets
And your wet lips are warm, pumped up
Delicious and sweet.

Look at me again; I will not touch you
However, I will visualize your hair all over my thighs
And my eyes drowning in a world of fantasy
Your eyelids are extraordinary and smooth
And me momentarily in ecstasy.

The kisses that I want to lay on your cheeks
The irresistible melodies that I hear
You and me lying on the ashes here
Like two brutally murdered drunkards.

Your tongue is decorated with strawberries at springtime
Oh! Cupid, women are always colored
Like the folios that faded away with time

Let the Olympic Games Begin

Let's all celebrate
Motivate and innovate
Let's all have incredible fun
The one that will last more than a lifetime
Every four years, it is that time
Again and again, let's us sprint, jump, run
Like happy rabbits, like flying cheetahs
Let's us enjoy all sports and the hoopla
Let's witness and win the gold medals
Many records will be broken
It is about doing our best and to have fun
Let's bring the torch, the flowers and the petals
Let's bring the doves, the love and the sandals
These are the Olympics, let's unite forever
And laugh all the way to the river
The bikers are coming, the rowers are here
Let's have the party of the century
Le's watch the volley ball players
Invite the drunkards and the smokers
Who are already sadly out of breath

La Beauté De Nos Femmes

Les séduisants sourires,
Les éclats de rire,
Leurs marches, leurs fortes hanches,
Leurs regards, leurs dents blanches,
Les coups d'œil de renard,
Et les lorgnements de canard!
Tam! Tam! Elles sont jolies et délicieuses!
Elles sont ravissantes et majestueuses!

J'étais à la chapelle pour la messe dominicale;
Je les regardais avec l'envie de vivre éternellement
Et les admirais dans mon âme tranquillement.
Comme elles étaient coquetées et magistrales!

Les rouges à lèvres qui me faisaient frémir
Et mon imagination qui m'hypnotisait.
Oh! Que c'était beau de rêver et de dormir
Avec les yeux grands et ouverts.
Quand l'amour voltige dans l'air,
On se sent très bien, voire en paix.

My Pen Is Weeping Blood / Ma Plume Pleure Du Sang

My pen is mourning the agonies and the sufferings
Of my people, who are drowning in the sea of misery.
My keyboard' strokes are shadowing the slow rhythms
Of the wandering beggar, who's lost in the sanctuary.

My voice denounces the filthy cholera and the injustices,
Which are punishing the weakest souls of the valley.
A tiny oligarchy is meagerly being rewarded;
What a shame for a man-made world corrupted with vices!

My brush defaces the inequality and the imbalance,
Which fool the image of a so called free world.
My laser beams burn the iris of the blind peasants,
Who can now see clearly the mini-sketch of my people.

I am the brother-in law of the cowardly executed poet
And the great-grandson of the poorest assassinated emperor.
I abhor the vanity and the lowliness of mankind in horror,
Oh! Lord, I'm going to read aloud twelve psalms, from my seat.

Men Must Respect

Men must respect other men
Women must respect other women
Men and women must respect our children
And protect them so all can go to heaven.

I cannot fully fathom the unusualness of men
Mother Nature will remain eternally natural
Mothers will give birth to men and women
And the sky will forever be conventional.

Men must respect girls and boys
They are human too, not little toys
Women must respect boys and girls
Our tootses don’t belong to a world of swirls and twirls.

If we respect each other, our world will be natural
Loving, wonderful and exceptional
Love and respect are like fraternal twins
In such godly oasis, everyone wins.

Paradise... is something else

You don't have to die to visit the luxury of paradise;
Similarly, you don't have to close forever your eyes,
To experience the miseries, or to feel the fire of hell.

Contrary to ordinary beliefs, you are in total control
Of your destiny. If you keep on ringing the right bell,
And following the correct path, you shall protect your soul.

You can create your own hell, or your own paradise,
By rocking too hard or rolling too slow the imaginary dice.
Modesty and moderation are the keys to reach your goal.

You don't have to die to experience the beauty of paradise.
You can create your own heaven; you are always in total control.
You can create your own hell, by selling too cheap your soul.

Paradise is not what you think it is; it is something else.
Hell, on the other hand, is exactly what you think it is.
It is not doing what you ought to do, it is the ease.

Mon Papa, Mon Meilleur Ami

(Dédié à Tous Les Papas, Birago I.Diop et à Gustave)

Mon père n'est plus, depuis plus d'une décennie;

Happy Birthday To My Child

It was yesterday that you were born
I can vividly remember everything
That led to that beautiful afternoon
The sky was perfect, which was a big thing
At this time of the year, in this wintry season.

In any event, that was a wonderful day
A kaleidoscopical day that you, of course, can only wonder
However your mother and I will always remember
The first cries, the first tears and the first day
That we spent together as a unit, as one.

The Almighty God has been good to us, as a family
And despite the natural ups and downs of life,
We can honestly say that we’ve been blessed and lucky.

On this special occasion, I want to reassure you
That I, your dad, will forever be there to protect you
And to love you, as long as I am alive
And the unwavering waves of love that I feel for you

Tell Me How to Express My Sorrow To This Beloved Family...

This poem is dedicated to my friend Nadege and family. May her beloved son rest in peace.

Speechless - my mouth is loaded with words
Who want to come out simultaneously
I am mumbling and stuttering intermittenltly
The words are shreading and grinding my heart
With the sharp blades of its samurai swords.

I am literally being taking apart
By the sorrow that this family is experiencing
Death is never an invited neighbor
Death is always an unwelcome visitor
Death comes like a bang
Like an earthquake, like a tsunami
Like a raging cyclone that shutters all dreams instantly.

I still do not know how to console
My friends living under this sad cloud
Sorry is neither potent nor loud
Enough to convey my heart-felt message
