Navigate
I’m not lost, no
directions and maps;
I got it right here
I’m not lost, no
I know quite well
where I’m headed
I’m not lost, no
money and fake friends
they’re not my loss
I’m not lost, no
whatever is within these hands
are all I need
I’m not lost, no
just waiting
for you to navigate

More Words
Sometimes words reach out
to help heal wounds.
Sometimes words reach out
just to claw at a feeble soul.
Sometimes words reach out
to seek help.
Sometimes words reach out
to bring life to idleness.
Sometimes words reach out
to expose a lie.
Sometimes words reach out
to undress from its truth.
Sometimes words reach out
for it needs to be spoken.

Of Hue And Cigarette Dreams
Take flight upon the cruise
Of the hundred wishful feathers
As it pretends to be claws
That grasp at the forsaken loom
Crawling beneath every surge
That expands to a thousand
Heights, in come piercing
The debris of your nightmare
Take shelter in its nest
Take caution in its rest
Lick the metal-tasting scars
And the juiciest wounds
As you stand firmly, grounded
On a concrete of bones
And littered, tethered blows
Of hue and cigarette dreams

Drums
I tried to teach her guitar
wrote down tabs, chords
but we didn’t go very far.
She hated the red of her fingers,
the strumming of the string,
and most of all the plucking.
I hate guitars she blurted,
my eyes were bloodshot red
doesn’t she know they’re worth it?
I rolled my eyes, told her to leave
shaking my head
my sister was starting to be a peeve.
She wasn’t having fun,
I understood and sighed,
she did say all she wanted were drums.

A Dust Mite Speaks
With feeble tries to move from this bed
Legs spread, arms reaching out
To a space that was moist, yet ambiguous
The golden brown sun mocks her
As it shines through her dirty windowpane
A tear falls upon the pale blue sheets
Fingers stroking it, last night was a blur
But the feelings were strong, concrete
Still she had so much love to offer
So much words to blanket him with
What she wouldn't do, to hear the sound
Of humble guitars, gentle violin strains
As she lost her heart to his gentle neck
As she lost her soul to his hypnotic pulse

What Are All These
what are all these pink things
they run around like little pests
hiding even if they’re always seen
look me in the eyes, don’t dare blink;
let me catch a bit of your smokes
as they succumb to their own element
of loss, love and a leech’s limerick,
I get high with your sweet denial
I was telephoned one time by control
ashamed were you to our crib
but you aren’t alone in this shedding,
you promised me several nights
even if I knew you already sold them
wrap yourself around me, you filth
I’m infinitely devoid of righteous roses

Trace
Trace him, chase him
through his evident sneakers.
The streets are quiet,
his pulse races; it’s a give-away!
Wait in a room,
then slip fluidly into the night.
Get gone, be gone
before lights rise to wakefulness.
Kill him, kill him,
he’s out to kill before the morning shine.
Stab his throat
until air turns to spurting blood.
Murder him, murder him
turn him into your victim.

Morning Fog
As soon as I rise to start finding my way
you are a barrier that stands before me.
I wish to reach better places,
but I can’t see further than you.
What my eyes tell me
isn’t so promising; they’re deceiving.
Maybe, with just a step further,
I might fall into a pit.
I might step on a puddle,
slip and fall.
For a while,
I start to see lights and passing cars.
A smile breaks from my face,
a sigh of relief leaves my lips.
But as I start to walk briskly
to get myself away,
I can no longer see again.
It’s just a misty cloud all over
that appears to stretch on for miles.
I don’t need you Morning Fog,

Lie Awake
Let’s lie awake together
I’m not sleepy yet
Let’s play a few games
And give each other pet names.
Let’s lie awake together
It’s just us in this empty park
Hand me that sandwich
I’m getting hungry.
Let’s lie awake together
The grass is getting a little itchy
Hand me your jacket
I’ll keep you warm instead.
Let’s lie awake together
No, I saw that plane first
Oh wait it’s not a plane
Was that a shooting star?

It's Funny
It’s funny how nothingness takes too long to end
How anticipation speed time.
It’s funny how we’d want for cries to end
For smiles to never cease.
It’s funny how promises turn to regret
How surprises become significant.
It’s funny how love for us ends
When love never really does.
It’s funny how our defenses crumble
Yet we are strong enough to hope.
It’s funny how we want dreams to be real
When reality feels like an absolute dream.
It’s funny how we wish to feel heaven
When being with her/him on earth is greater.
