How To Win Your Man

Pink your lips
Sway your hips
Wrap your keeps
Cook his meals
Seal your lips
Think, be deep
Dream, be big
Always be wrong
Let him be right though wrong
Encourage him
Feed him
His ego especially
Kiss him and make him a king
Be his desire sexually
Report him to God
When he hurts your heart
Love him like you
For he is you
Nagging for fools
Wisdom yells loudest when silence hears her cool

Hot Ice

Life, the heat of the human
Breathe while you can
Life is waltzing by
Be all you want
Before the curtain closes
Touch the fire
Before the nerves go numb
Fear nothing
Life lives not in fear's clothing
Tap your feet
Play in the music
Beat your heart
Burn the fire
Dump the ashes
Ditch the past
Love love, hate hate
Incline your soul
The music's playing
Chase a frown with a smile
Drive the darkness with your spark

Rain

Splat. Splat.
It drops on my window pane
Like blood from my pain
Betrayal feels like Cain
A steel knife cuts through a vein
A sharp knife impacts trauma deep
Wet eyes can' t see
Lead feet don't leap
Shattered hearts can't beat
Splat. Splat
Make me who I once was
Breathe through me and give me a voice
Bring back the pieces of me I have lost
I love thy smell, for thee I lust
As the wind kisses the earth's dust
And clouds gather to burst
As father time welcomes his sun home
And I lie here in darkness alone
As loneliness eats through my bones
And I curl into a cone

Short

The depth of life
The length thereof
The depth of a life
The years thereof
The depth of your life
The distance from your first wisp of
Earth's worried air of
Life to the finish line of
A life well lived or of
One which was spent waiting for
The future which may or may not
Hold you in it for
Today is given you to
Make all the difference you can and to
Smell all the flowers you can and to
Love as deeply as you can and to
Let laughter break some ribs and to
Let rain drown your tears and to
Give yourself away and to
Worship as truly as you can and to

Mad Thoughts

You think I drink too much?
Never mind me, dreamed too much
They all drowned in the sea too much.
You think you love me more?
Wait till you know me more
And find that I love you but I'm not God.
You think the truth is hard?
Spew more lies, then try detangling the web hard
You'll find the truth is the most freeing lad.
You have Expectations?
His mom had to give birth to identical twins
Meet his twin, Disappointment
He's sure to make his appointment.
You trust no one?
Oh darn cynic!
No trust, no love
No trust, no unity, no Babel.
You love someone?
Wear a blind fold
'Cos from the factory of Eden

Harlie

Fond thoughts swimming across
hundred oceans
To the warm shores of your warm heart
I think of you everyday in space
And how in time you painted a smile
across my face
You make my days and fill my mind
And break my heart when she breaks
your heart
Love is rare and keenly blind
And though he be a mere mortal
God indeed must love Charlie Harper
I think of you and how you are
Have you had breakfast or sleep with
scars
I hope someday on this shore we'll count
the stars
When your skies are blue and days are
gray
I'll use the seeds you planted in my fray

Soul

Beauty is not everything
But if it is, I wanna lose mine
For I am nothing...
All gape
All mope
Like a butterfly birthed in space territories
My allure is framed in time territories
All through a tinted glass muse over me
They listen 'cos I'm beauty
They care 'cos I'm beauty
They want 'cos I'm beauty
They love 'cos I'm beauty
But like all vanities
Beauty must pay time its due
Seas come, thunder bolts
On a rare day as this, I see one
Lightning strikes
And I see, though all be blind
The stranger on the other side of the street
'Fugly' as some say

Its Beginning To Get To Me

Something purified and pure
Refined and tested through fire and refined
Something perfect with the noblest imperfections
Something truer than true love
Something that applies super glue to two hearts
Something more than a friend in need
Something like David and Jonathan
Wow, I just woke from a dream in 600BC
The 21st century reality
I'm standing right in front of you Talking to you about what's in my head
You listen intently and intensely
With your eyes glued to your gadget
Before we began to swim we began to drown
I know more of Saturn and the stars
Than of what's in your head or heart
The business of the busy man's business
Creates an emptiness, hollowness can't fill
Drowning, you're yelling, I'm yelling
I'm wrong, you're right...always right
All this fighting with aching bones

Remember

I remember moments of happiness
Coming home, goo goo eyed
After talking to a boy I liked
I remember moments of sadness
Coming home, teary eyed
After leaving my heart as a memento
To that boy I really liked
I remember moments of peace
After winning one of life's battles
Having a conscience the weight of air
I remember moments of bliss
After walking the quarter of a lifemile
Finding a true friend
I remember moments of grief
After finding that dear friend
Would never have breakfast again
I remember moments of laughter
After the past had past
And the rearview revealed frustration's
humor

What Lies Ahead

It was a windy day that day
But the apple still fell near its tree
The clock struck zero
A cry filled the room
A son of the past
The father of the future
The distance between two feet
As the clock ticked life away
The ground was opened each day
And seeds dropped quietly in it
Days came and walked away
With the same plot and stale tale
All looked upon the future
Wondering what glory lied ahead
Will I walk on the sky or ask the ground to bury me?
The clock delivered the future as he promised
Each got a basket of past deeds returned
The acorn became a mighty oak
It was a windy day that day
Yet the apple refused to fall far from the tree
