Lord

I stood on the edge of love and life
And chose the mediocrity of numb
Are you watching me?
I want to know who you are
I want to know what you are
I want to see what you see
I want to understand why I'm me
My story began without my consent
But the journey has been your intent
I got broken some place
Went back in time
Still don't know where
The wound made me a promise
'I will never heal'
I gave you my heart and cried 'Fix me'
My violet died, nothing that came after
that was worth a damn
Too many presents that missed your
presence
Too few answers to forgotten questions

The Air Is Tense, The Air Is Dense

It was a silent evening, this silent
evening,
When a land whose air was tense,
Heard the cries of its children,
As a plane whose air was dense,
Hit the ground and broke its wings.
It was a teary morning, this teary
morning,
When friends had lost friends,
And parents, children,
And children, parents,
And all, something.
It is a painful thing, this painful moment,
If while reading this out loud,
Your voice begins to fade,
As your heart carries pain to your chord.
It is a thin line, oh thin children,
We are here and we are 'is',
And in one step,
We are there, and now 'was'.

This Isn't Everything You Are

He walked into a drugstore that day
He took a bullet and saved a girl
Not for heroic reasons
But to end his journey
His mum held his feet and prayed
with a hundred teardrops
Two thousand hands of a thousand angels
Performed CPR and with four thousand teardrops
Warmed his frozen body
God sits, turns his face and sheds a dropp or two
He lies alone in pitch darkness
The going had been tough
And he chose to get going
He dug a hole, lay and covered himself
Grace felt fat and took a stroll that day
He walked and smiled
Stepping on a heap of sand, he felt pain
Stooped and moved the sand
Turned his face and stared the turned teary face
Face to face they stared

Désolé(I'm Very Sorry)

Life led wrongly
Heart beating for all the wrong reasons
Eyes searching for all but one
One searching for none but all...
A soul whose retina has lost focus
With lenses focused on fame and glory
With nothing but bare thoughts you
write your story
To the ones mulled down
Désolé means nothing
Iris painted with shades of gray
Good is gone and bad to stay
Fences are true haven for cowards
In taking no side, all stand pleased
Life forgives this not
Désolé means nothing
Born great, living inane
Born king, living slave
Gifted, normal
Genius, unleashed

Purple

I lived here.
Ten years maybe two.
I did the decor.
I was miserable here.
I wonder why.
This was the most beautiful room I ever had.
My thoughts bounced off the walls a lot. Mainly resounding that I was 'useless' to my hearing.
Things you'll never know.
I've always hated myself.
Tried to change it all and love myself. Waste of time.
Apathy suits me well.
I don't care anymore.
About God, family, love, life.
I've taken a hard look at me.
And the reflection isn't flattering.
When at first I learned to talk.
I used all my words to write.
To him and her and you and me.
One more tear could dropp in spite of my apathetic state
But I'm dead inside.

No Sin, No Stone

A pin was dropped
The sound was heard
A hundred seconds ago
A charge was laid
And the stage was set
A woman in the very act
With a man she made no marriage pact
A gathering of mortals
Ears tuned to the great immortal
The concentration broken
As accused, accusers, and stones emerged
'The law is this, and broke she did'
He snubs and stoops
Each grain of sand whispers in one accord
'Our maker touches us'
He seemingly writes nothing on them
'The law is this, and broke she did'
They echoed in pissed symphony
'What says 'god'? '
With ache in throat and pain in heart

What A Day! ! !

The cock crows
The chick blinks
The bat winks
The clock winds
We wake and stretch
Breathe and yawn
Creatures of habits
Old habits shaken off
New ones involuntarily worn
Round and round we go
Today, yesterday's son
Today, tomorrow's dad
Today, today's baby
The blind seek the rainbow
The deaf, a deafening crescendo
The sad seek a foreign land
Where water is not tears
Today begins with all actors in motion Some are bullets in a china store
Breaking lives as they breathe
Some are spectators in a soccer game

Drown

Water deep
Surface breathe
Face to face
Fist to fist
Feet to feet
Stroke by stroke
Pain above
Peace below
War above
Joy beneath
Flipping through the pages of seconds
Age takes its stand
Flipping through the photographs of memories
Regret gives its hand
You ask when time waltzed by
10 odd years ago, you had your chance
A chance to be better than now
A voice once said 'Give me your hand'
Swimming on you replied 'Heaven helps those who help themselves'
A great fallacy

Love

Laying across mortal plains
I pray to know love on a pedestal of immortals
Love without pain is seldom love
A rose without thorn is hardly a rose
The eyes that dissect a soul's beauty
The arm that hugs the runaway kid
The tears of a mother, push, arrrrggghhh, out!
The broken ceramic called heart
The amnesia of a hurt memory
The friend that shows you in a mirror, a nobler version of you
A face dried
A mouth fed
A heart shared
The death of reason
The absence of logic
The funeral of Narcissus and Schadenfreude
A giving gift
A blessed blessing
In the face of extinction, unconditional
A walk in the park, a dance in the rain, a giggle in the mouth

Polar

Her: Hello
Me: Hey
Her: Had dinner?
Me: No, watching my weight, you?
Her: Just had fries, a burger and two drinks
Me: Why? !
Her: What's your problem?
Me: I said I wanna lose some weight!
Her: Go ahead then!
Her: Take that.
Me: No.
Her: Why?
Me: It's not mine.
Her: Geez, you're such a saint
Me: Jeez, you're such a sinner
Me: What do you think you're doing?
Her: I'm taking it of course
Me: Drop it!
Her: Make me!
Me: Oh God!
