And when they walked on from Meridian
It followed them wherever they went
Though, not quite a bounce in the step
But more like a leaden farewell.

discovery in blues before the sunset
with the slippery bag pippers
fumbling the brass keys
and what does something like that
really pay?
when all you have left is the symbol?
