A Tribute to a Man of God- Bro. Dr. DGS Dhinakaran
A man who went to commit suicide,
Was picked by God to save sinners from hell,
Miraculously until ripe-old age;
God took him to His bosom after this.
The man of God had read the Bible well;
He prayed to God with fervor all his life,
Until the Holy Spirit entered him,
And changed his life of poverty and strife.
The man of God became Evangelist;
He quoted Scriptures to all suffering souls,
Explaining God’s message to all who thirst
For truth and Light and Way of Jesus Christ.
He talked to God and gained wisdom to guide
The many souls, who thronged to him for help;
God saw his love for fellowmen on earth,
And exalted his spiritual life.

A Live Kitty and a Puppy Atop a T.V.!
A live kitty
And a live puppy
Atop a TV!
I placed a kitty;
Also a puppy,
Atop a TV
Box – my ditty!
But there wasn’t much place;
They could not fit the base;
Each had a lovely face;
My eyes began to gaze!
The kitty girl was smart,
And sat as if by art;
The puppy boy was small
And slept until my call!
Cute little animals

Bible in Poetry: Titus 1
God’s servant and Apostle, Paul
Of Jesus Christ for God’s elect,
Whose faith and knowledge of the truth,
Has led to hope and godliness,
Of life eternal, not God’s lie,
God-promised from time’s beginning,
And in His season brought the word,
To light by preaching giv’n to me,
By God’s command, our savior:
To Titus in our common faith,
My true son, grace and peace descend
From God, the Father and Jesus.
Titus’ Task on Crete:
I left you just in Crete because
You would then straighten what was left
Unfinished, and appoint elders
In every town as I told you.

Bible in Poetry: Gospel of St. Mark (Chapter 7)
The Pharisees and scribes who came
Had gathered from Jerusalem;
His disciples were eating meals,
With hands unwashed which Jews didn’t do;
The Jews observed traditional things
Like purifying cups, (and beds) .
They questioned Jesus about this.
Then Jesus said, “You hypocrites,
You honor me with lips alone;
Your hearts are far away from me;
You worship me in vain therefore;
Because you teach human precepts,
You cling to human tradition;
But respect not God’s Commandments;
(Isaiah’s prophecy of you)
Honor thy father and mother;
Whoever curses parents dies!
You nullify the Word of God

Psalms in Poetry - Chapter 103
Psalms in Poetry - Chapter 103
1 You praise the Lord, O soul of mine;
my being innermost,
His holy name, you praise.
2 You praise the Lord, O soul of mine,
forgetting not His benefits –
3 He who forgives your every sin,
and heals your diseases;
4 He who redeems your life from Pit,
and crowns you with His love and compassion,
5He satisfies your desires
With numerous things that are so good,
so that like eagle’s, your youth is renewed.
6 Lord works His righteousness, justice
for all those who are oppressed.
7 He made His ways to Moses known,
His deeds to people of Israel:
8 The Lord is compassionate, gracious,
and slow to anger, abounds in love.

Bible Stories: Job (Chapter I)
A man named Job, lived in Uz;
He was an upright, blameless man;
He was a God-fearing one too;
He turned away from all evil.
He was the greatest in the East;
He had a wife and children ten-
Three daughters and sons seven.
He owned a lot of animals-
Sheep- seven thousand,
Camels- three thousand,
Oxen in yoke- five hundred,
Female asses- five hundred,
Beasts of burden- many more!
His birthday was held by his sons;
Their sisters came to eat and drink;
Job blessed them all and sent away;
Next day, he offered burnt offerings;

India’s ‘I’m Anna’ Movement
With eagle’s eyes
And staunch a mind
And heart of love
For common man
A Gandhian true
Fast undertook
None could predict
Repercussions.
He donned a cap
And kept vigil
For twelve full days
On mere water.
He scared the rich
Men in power
Who misuse it,
And cheat the poor

An Island War Tragedy!
Their hero is no more but then,
He is alive in every heart
And mind, for whom he fought so well,
Until he ultimately fell
To bullets sprayed from ruthless guns,
That brought the valiant man to earth.
The land is freed from ‘tigers’ now?
A mighty myth was rendered false;
The landscape lies in ruins much;
‘The people are refugees, ’ ‘Oh! ’
They died by thousands, all in vain;
Most families in tents just live.
Denied of equal rights for long,
The people hum a plaintive song
Of sufferings and unfairness,
Unleashed upon them by brethren.
Their trauma is too great to tell;
Their island life is now like hell.

The Land versus the Sea
To the man on the shore, the sea
With its vast expanse, appears lovely;
With sparkling waves of immense beauty,
That calms the mind of its devotee!
The incessant roar of sea-waves is awesome,
And drowns the ears which welcome;
Time seems to have come to a halt
To those who sit by the water with salt.
The foam and froth and spray fill the air-
A treat to the eyes which watch and stare;
The sand under the feet too slips and goes
Back to the sea, its home, of course!
The sea is home to creatures lot;
Its breeze is so cool to skins that are hot;
The lives of fishermen on it depend;
A watery grave to some, it may just end.

Beware of Satan, the Deceiver of the World
Satan deceives the world for long
As Gospel's truth aren't known to all;
He uses Christian rituals, rites,
Doctrines and laws to delude souls!
The evil spirit Satan thus
Enters the souls afilled with sin,
Pretending as Holy Spirit,
Duping even Christians with faith.
Satan can quote the scriptures well;
He uses name of Lord and God;
The Tempter is a ‘born' Liar;
And steals souls en way to heaven.
Receive the Holy Spirit then,
By knowing Gospel entirely;
And let Him dwell within always,
Enlightening your soul with grace.
