The Lady With The Lamp
It took just one great, noble soul
With pioneering exemplary thought
Who went to rescue the wounded
In the Crimean war!
She became the world-famous
‘Lady with the lamp’
Who set the rules of a group
That served the sick and infirm!
And thus was born
A noble profession
Which spread tender, loving care
Amidst humanity, rare!

Give God the First Place…
Place God before all things in life;
Love God because He loves you more;
Ask God and walk on Heaven’s road;
Please God by keeping His commands.
Pray God to show the way on earth;
Plead God to be your guiding Light;
Prove God your love is from your heart;
Tell God to keep your soul sin-free!

An Earnest Prayer to God
God, rule my tongue, my works, my thought;
God, rule my mind, body, and heart;
God, rule all gifts from You I got;
God, rule my will, forget-me-not.
God, rule all things, my every part;
God, rule my actions from the start;
God, rule my soul, guide it with art;
God, rule my life till I depart!

Poem: A man!
There is a man
With trunk, neck and head;
He was thus born
And continues to live;
He complains not
But looks cheerful instead;
And sings aloud hymns
Praising GOD!
He isn’t sad that
He was thus made;
A living wonder he’s
A fountain of Hope!
To all those well-formed;
Who complain still;
For life’s problems,
Trivial, transient!

Unfairness
This world is grossly unfair;
The heart of man is unfair too;
All opportunities are unfair;
There are not many things fair, one can do.
But there’s just one most fair One who is God-
With love unfathomable and just a rod;
Yet, man unfairly blames the one God!
Does not man’s unfairness look rather odd?

The Sign of the Holy Cross
The Holy Cross has been the sign
Encouraging me long;
The wonder of its sanctity
Can make a divine song.
When Jesus Christ died on the Cross
Redeeming mankind all;
My sufferings in life are naught,
So are my wounds of fall.
The Holy Cross beckons me on,
“Come, follow me all life.”
For that’s the way we reach Heaven
Forgetting all our strife!

I’m On My Road,
I’m on my road,
I’m on my road,
To anywhere!
With never a heart,
With never a care;
Got my home;
Got my land;
Singing my song of freedom
On the road,
Somewhere!
I’ve got to walk,
I’ve got to march,
I’ve got to dare;
Under the clouds,
Looming and bare;
With my hand,
Playing a band,
Singing my song of freedom
On the road,

Happy Friendship Day,2012
Befriend someone who
Fills a void in life;
Befriend someone who
Helps you in all strife.
Befriend someone who
Consoles you in grief;
Befriend someone who
Never turns a thief!
Befriend someone who
Steals your mind and heart;
Befriend someone who
Weeps when you depart.
Befriend someone who
Makes days beautiful!
Befriend someone who
Makes life meaningful!

A Christmas Prayer
Born in winter’s chillness;
In a far off manger;
O Sweet baby Jesus,
I adore you.
Born to be crucified,
And die for all our sins;
Redeemer of mankind;
I surrender my heart.
Lying on a bed of hay;
Bringing joy on Christmas day;
Giving peace to world- all say;
The truth, the light and way!
Forgive my sins, O Lord.
