Hot Tub
Commemorate all your fallen moments
All the hate your neighbor
You’re better than your fellowman
All the competitive bullshit
Tied in knots of pride
Culture of crass indifference
Remember the fire of disdain
You win and everyone else loses
Exulted like lofty demons falling
Gardens of stone and gold
Repair the fire damage
Babylonian draperies of loneliness
Exquisite taste from deep inferiority
Shekels and talents chained to slave ships
Galleons where dreams play water sports
She handcuffs herself to the ground
Earth with stains of ancient stars
Dance amidst the great lobbyist ball

Faulkner Going Home
Faulkner writes at a New Orleans café
Dust and floorboards with cockroaches
Coffee like pain from the slave trade
French rolls, wrought iron in the warm rain
Spanish gables sigh like lost angels
We are the immaculate children of Tolstoy
Dreams of William Blake
Bayou of the damned
Napoleon dies marooned like a pauper
Mice and men screams like a prophecy
Your lovely breasts belong to the working class
You run from every proletariat poet
Bridges like leather swamps
Magnolia eyes hidden beneath English men
Celtic mountains like pockets of gold
She smiles like the French Quarter
We walk brick streets made from conquistadors
Across the square their playing strip tease
Winners dance like Chloe’s of the Marquis de Sade

Leave the World Something Real
Expectations of excellence
Unveil the gardens of the soul
These flowers given in mystery
Generations spire into a living fire
Hands made of silk angels
Troubadours play on corners
Architecture reveals future visions
These children with eyes of stars
Dross is burned away in sorrow
Pure gold stands in the gallery
Steeples rise in the blowing wind
There in the sky we see a child’s mind
Grow you seeds that become great trees
Find your part - seek to grow
Rise like clouds in the blue
Blossom into the inward realm
Seek your call and listen to your dreams
What is love?

Bed of Ghosts
Red wolves under the purple moon
She sighs like the wet tide
I have entered a dark door
Parallax lace tubes of silk
Covered in her golden pain
Eyes like castles of strange stone
Walls as high as broken glass
Maybe awakenings are over
Maybe the end is just a mirror
Is love another passport to pain
Now the circus bells sound like thunder
Pigeons feed on park benches
She loves gargoyles on the old church
We walk shrouded in rain
Panhandlers amidst the saved
Gothic lights from a forest of gray
Her red 5-inch heels click the cement
Everyone in a role
Everyone caught like a bomb shelter

Neighborhoods
Sage eyes in the rainbow of pain
Desire is a flame lit in her words
Deep words like ‘your faux pas
Her rules are a theater of Paris
Where are we going in the blowing rain?
Washington Square in 1962
I am born like an old Martin guitar
The Kennedy’s gave us hope
Black and white photography
Her smile has no guile
Her eyes see all my splits
No Broadway play can heal me
We walk like hungry centuries
Fragments of the medieval castles
Traditions broken by a postmodern mess
Rings of opal bells ringing
I guess love is pretending all is well
She is in love with old neighborhoods

Cherubs
Cyan sky of liquid marble
Dreams rain singing doorways
Walk like vibrant eternity
Some know Egypt is real
They die in blue circles
Rise where love feasts
Hear voices of golden shores
I see the hallways of joy
Intuition preludes surround
Stars sail like strange avenues
We divide the divine signs
Tablature of cryptic Genesis
She stops for the cat on the road
Siamese eyes of mercy
Labyrinths where Apache hunted
Burial grounds of eagle souls
Satyr horses ride the northern tribes
Moving ghosts of buffalo herds

Blossoms of Karma
The creature twisted in choice
Pearls of beauty along the quay
Under every womb addiction
Horizons without suns
Moons of indigo incantations
She revels like a jaguar
Crucible friends drink fire
Night shares its doubts
These lit torches of arson
These choices banal as jealousy
Wars create immigrants
We visit Mozambique sculptors
Posterity shines like a demagogue
Broken abstract lines
Color your painting with incest
No return to those French cafes
Portugal fisherman in the deep waves
Narrow roads racing for Spain
Minions of apple trees

Hear and See
Pine boughs hang like chandeliers
Chancellors of sentinel royalty
Censured by ages of joy
We receive the forests of love
Leave the blight of hatred behind
Change into the garments of praise
Succor every broken reed
Every sword of love unsheathed
Cadence in the valleys of man
He that hath ears let him hear
The candles have eyes like roses
She awakes with jewels of azure
Only the sky has eternal secrets
Have you heard whispers of peace?
Crimson fields of honor sing
Fire of angels gladdens the river
The golden city is being built
Joy has forecast its grand victory
Brides dance in purloin white

Galaxies Filled with War
Free from the green ghosts of city
Greed with shallow mausoleums
Stellar fences of black raven pity
Relish your pain saved in museums
Plunder the poor with holidays
Guard the golden hollow groves
Candles by the oppressor’s grave
Invisible world watches and knows
Watch the plagues of Egypt come
The ancient czar plans an attack
Hearts hardened and sensually numb
Magicians rise from the dark cracks
The prophetic cockcrows thrice
Cadence of history and Roman fire
Another day to roll the pagan dice
Bogotá burning with praetorian liars
Fall in love with the vilest of men
Invaded with hordes of dead sages

Hot Enough for You?
Hey you right wingers who hang on to oil company excuses and
corporate rationalizations about weather patterns; so the greedy can continue to not use scrubbers and abide by rational supervision and laws that protect the environment is it hot enough for you?
3,800 temperature records broken in the first week of July,2012 alone.
Destructive wildfires in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Nebraska.
Over 50% of the country experiencing serious drought.
Old bubba is running his air conditioner twenty four seven!
You buy into such lies. You vote for corporate shills that ruin the world your children and grand children will inherit. You support the rich that the Bible condemns.
You think capitalism is the law of God and support greed. They blow off the mountain tops in West Virginia for the coal and leave a total mess. You deny global warming like Cain slew Abel. Let them pollute rivers and aquifers. Let them pollute the air and poison the earth. One out of sixteen use to get cancer now it is one of two. You don't stand up for GMO labeling or green technology. You don't stand up against the food industry as it corrupts creation and has horrible cruelty to animals. Radiated meat, ammonia washed, growth hormones and carcinogens and toxins. Then the very killers who ship the jobs and rule the world you give a tax break to.
IS IT HOT ENOUGH FOR YOU Bubba?
