A Poetic Something

I think I am a poet
therefore I'm lying to myself
in just a line I saw it
just lying on the shelf
I reached for it
It moved out of reach
those words I knew
those words my mind grew

Unable to jot down
a mute to speak out
unable, unable it rocks
strange sounds, broken cradle
stop rocking, its unstable
now across the dinner table

I see it, I saw it
should I move towards it?
Turn back, just ignore it
now it follows

Rise Of The Phoenix

A dance of the broken
the depletion of a spiritual spark
a flame of a phoenix once constant
now never to rise

Pride misled, a thirst unable to quench
a hunger unsustained, adopted by greed
just a name, seen, preyed upon for a next meal
raped to civilization standard branch
man, spit on a gift made from a strong rib
that plants a gifted seed

A gifted seed sprouts, strong enough to walk
a connection with the rib which gave life
regained a smile, a tear dropp looking
high in the heavens, a beautiful majestic flame
from the ashes the phoenix rises again

Emotive Language

If she passed, would mine break?
Would there be any display
or curtain's not even close
of being drawn?
would the body shake,
what about the legs, would they tremble?

Fear of loss, would that play
an important role
or the recollection of neglect,
Foil grief's solo performance

No water work display
a sigh followed by smile's farewell
could the reaction of "Oh well"
be considered a heartless act?

Not a dropp will fall, but will contemplate
while a smile appears
although it's never seemed like it

Try

I wonder what life would be
without the opposite sides
could happiness live,
without the existence of sadness
love without hate, I wonder?
The hardship which progresses in life
negative or positive, which would claim,
The tracks made along the way
She gives back, what's put in
a cause and effect
could she be the definition, or the concept,
of action or deed?

An educated growth,
from birth til death
obstacles come to life,
by the very first breath
a given to keep up or give up
gifts challenges
the beauty of life

Try 2 (Plus & Minus)

Implant a positive thought
dive, worth a shot, try
way of the will
a will, a way, sacrifice, endure pain
if to gain, heartaches rivers
through the storm to obtain

experience, knowledge
mistakes, lessons
steps back, steps forward
listen, observe
follow, lead

knowledge is the key
the mind is the door way
to know, to learn, one must try
open the mind
allow more then positives to sink in
life's lessons derive
from hardships and mistakes

It Is Eye

Escape, to finally escape
To evade or find the strength to make a change
A destiny, this faith, my fate
Stray from a dark cloud
To create foot prints on the road less travelled

There's no one quite like i
am only yet plenty
the many look in the eye
doubts, lies share crocodile tear smile
goodbye through hi
abide by an existence of the norm
sheepish. Relinquish that of which is not I
I, a stand out, not of protocol
alien within the norm
outcast, out-cast
so do I out shine beyond cameras flashing lights
lit up the night sky did I
a beacon of one's own hope
a leader of one's self

Fake Laughs

I've done a lot of good
helped out when I could
treated all individuals as equals
well I try,
still doesn't outweigh the bad
the hearts I've broken
the tears I've caused
the words I never spoke of, yet hoping
one would read my thoughts
to search as I'm lost

My sins haunt
only a shadow of mine
walks aside a grey line
beyond forgiveness
incarcerated beside fake relations
causing all that is and was
real to deplete, replaced
by all that is fake

River

River runs red
eyes see through
a candlelight view
mind to the ledge

The lips speaks with contradictions
the eyes don't lie so I converse with her
she shuts me out, word of mouth
they follow faceless devils
she opens up and the truth is shown

Faceless evil
crowded judgments
silence lethal

Full moon transformation
cry wolf
midnight whispers words of uncertainty

Clouds of disturbance

Friends, Love, Life

In all honesty, you are beautiful
Despite the backlash
Between the mind and that beating drum
Slipped, tripped, fell in
That four letter word
Caved in,
A world of a word which I don't understand
A dramatic change of feelings
Agonizing pain of lovely memories
A friendship changed,
Through the cause of one word
Between two others

To say she's beautiful
Is an understatement
She's beyond a bond
My life's blood
Resonates through her veins
The combination of hers and mine
One, breath of her breath

Do You See Me

Look in my eyes
can you feel the pain that I feel
so many times that I've cried
but can you see, or is it invisible tears i share
as you sleep safe and sound
can you hear my heart beat
fading as I scream out your name
could you be the reason for my pain
or am I the reason for my own
why is it so much easier to put the blame
rather than deal with the shame
forcing a smile, to take the focus off my eyes
you may never know how I truly feel
I wear a mask, as I play a part
yes I've got the world fooled
you may never see the tears that I share
a lonely heart, all smiles, no frowns
my pain is for my eyes only
so only I know, only I will bare.
