But he must have forgotten.
Words lie and feelings fade.
Reason fades. People fade.

Blank pages, blank lines
Blank heart, blank mind
Blank feeling, blank soul
Blank high, blank low.

I dont know why
You just cant see
That all you've ever known
Is the blank side of me.

Jesus Holds My Hand

I saw Jesus last night.
He layed beside me,
held my hand.
I felt his scars.
They didn't make me sad.
The scars are happy.
Jesus said i have scars too.
You just can't see them.
My scars cut deep
So i can't escape them.
Jesus said to give him my scars.
That he carried the sorows of the world.
I gave my scars to God last night.
He still holds my hand.
And i love Jesus.

Remember Me

Forget me when I'm here,
But remember when i'm gone.
You pretend i'm all right
When you know i'm all wrong.

I wear my smile like a mask,
And I put on a good show,
But you never asked.
And now you'll never know.

I put up a good fight,
And i really, truely tried,
But the lies spoke the loudest.
And you're the reason why.

So you should know when i leave,
When I'm gone and through,
That you didn't remember me,
But I remembered you.

Quiet Kind

I've never really written a poem
no reason to
But today feels like a day for words
the quiet kind
I wondered if i should tell
you know, about me
what i think
i thought about the
snow, and the night when
we were forever
i wondered if you knew
if you saw right through me
if i was a mystery
or if you never even looked
i thought about what comes next

or if we just turned to

Somewhere

Did you know that this time would be your very last?
Did you watch your life flash past?
Did you fly to heaven from earth?
Did you know how much you were worth?
Did you see how much they cried
On the night your body died?

But now i know you're somewhere good.
And if we could take your place, we would.
Because we believe, and yes its true,
That nobody should die who was as good as you.
But i think because you had to go,

She is nothing

They don't know about her.
The reason for her
Silence.
The pictures dance across her face,
And still nobody
Sees.
She reaches for a hand that isn't there,
And grabs another fistful of more
Nothing.
Her life is nothing.
So she keeps pretending she's something and
Weeps.
They see her tears but pass by
Without a second
Glance.
She doesn't explain her fear.
Thinking if she was something, she would be
Brave.
They stay silent. And she stays silent.
They watch as her flowering face wilts back to

Miracles

I am a miracle.
Didn't you know?
But when you look from the outside,
One wouldn't think so.
Look into my heart
And you will find him there;
The one with the secrets.

I am a miracle.
Haven't you heard?
The man of great dreams
First told me the word;
Miracles! Miracles!
Never expected!
From the scars in his hands
Set free! Protected!

Disappear

What would happen if i disappeared today?
Would you see through the curtain that stands in our way?
The world would be silent and still,
And the birds in the trees would have lost their goodwill.
The words that i scream and nobody hears,
The monster in the closet that nobody fears.
The earth would be green, and the sky would be blue,
And life would move on. And so would you.
They'd never remember the girl they had seen.
They'd never remember the ghost that was me.
You'd rise up high, and i'd fall apart.
And i'd fake a smile, because you broke my heart.
The earth would still be green, and the sky would still be blue,
And life would move on. And so would you.
