A Mothers Blessing
Twas in the dawn
Of heavens light
She heard a baby cry.
It beckoned her
With angel wings
And tempted her to fly.
The mystic winds
Of time and space
They trouble her no more.
For she has seen
The source of Life.
She's found the inner core.
The path we're on
It leads to bliss.
Our hearts become entwined.
Within the mothers gentle kiss

Journey's End on Turtle Island
We shall walk on the water.
We shall walk on the clouds.
On this dream craft.
Called Turtle Island.
We shall follow the wind.
As it takes us on waves
of Love.
To the precipice.
Of the Cosmos.
Thus far
No farther.
Then we watch.
And wait.
With eyes wide open.
As the Listener speaks.

Cool Cat Blues
Once you were my favorite cat.
But then you made me cry.
What's a little bird to do.
But lift her wings and fly.
You really are a very cool cat.
A Gold card member of the cool cat group.
You really should be more selective.
Of who you invite for soup.
I am so relieved that cats can't fly.
And that's how its got to stand.
I only fly with other birds.
Who accept me as I am.

Valhalla Drive
It all begins and
ends my friend,
Here on Valhalla Drive
You think the times
Are wearing thin
and that you
may not thrive.
You might be right
About your plight,
your inability to survive.
You struggle long
and struggle hard
just to stay alive.
Fear not my weary traveler,
At last you've found your way.

Forest Follies
The Green Man
and the gargoyle
sat idly by.
As the forest
caught fire
and the flames
they grew high.
Till mountains of smoke
had covered the sky.
Then down flew the fairies
in fury they came.
And battle they did
with that furious flame.
Sending in torrents
of free falling rain.

For Nicholas
There is a soul named Nicholas
He's not like you and I
His path has been an uphill climb
But his spirit it does fly.
He wanders though our neighborhood
And no one ever cares
They never see him as they should
A golden stalk of purest wheat
And we are but the tares.
If only they would stop and see,
And read his poetry,
They would meet a soul so sweet
A spirit grand and free.

Loving Prayer for the Children
Loving Prayer for The Children
Beautiful song,
chant of life
The boy someday
a husband
The girl someday
a wife
And on this day
we hear
The words of
tradition
so dear
Thus begins the journey
in God's most perfect love.
We bow our heads and pray
for His blessings from above.

My Brother's Gift
Son of light in heavens flight
You are so strong and pure
Your treasure lies within your soul
And I am very sure
That as you wander on the shore
Of life I know you'll find
That precious jewel of happiness
Upon the sands of time.
The many paths you travel
On your journey here
With sweetest love
And gentle touch
It all becomes quite clear.
The sacred mission of your life
The gift of healing fear.

Ice Dreams
Glacial chards of cosmic ice
They wander in from space
The person that I once was
Has vanished without a trace
Nothing left behind this trance
No form will soon replace.
A life once lived in joy and prayer
A love so near and dear.
We only find a vestige of
The loneliness and fears.
In that day when nightfall ends
And dreams they fade away
We find ourselves in perfect peace
As the dawn of Life appears.

Safe Ground
In my darkest hour
Reaching for the light
Wounded little bird
You caught me in mid flight
Thought I'd found a shelter
Midst life's stormy seas
But instead a place of dread
And once again I flee
To safer ground below me
I am standing on the earth
Others may demean me
But I know my true worth
This little bird has wings
The world can't hold her down
I think I'll skip another trip
Down the road to crazy town.
