Here And Now

That was then,
Now and here
It’s not the same.
Though it seems unfair.

That’s the way it is,
You can’t relive the past.
So live now and here,
That’s your best chance.

It is not easy
It was never meant to be.
You go though a period when you grieve
And learn to see with a new perspective.

A Wish that couln't be granted...

Joyous and ecstatic,
On the banks of
Mother Ganges,
I didn’t want to look
Over my shoulder,
And wished time
Could stand still,

And with the imprint
Of that moment,
I could just die…
But that is not in
The scheme of things…

For I knew better,
Pain waited in the aisle
With a benign smile…

The Thrill

Oh, the thrill of swinging on the swing,
I felt as if i had wings.
Now as my granddaughter shrills
As she pushes herself with her little feet,
Going to and fro at a speed,
Screaming and showing of with glee-
Now you can’t catch me.
Through her infectious joy and pride
I relieve

If you be a hunter,
Besides being good marksman,
One needs sportsmanship.

What makes one a hunter;

At night all the doors are locked.

After I laid my heart bare to you,
When the logs had almost burnt out
You calmly said ‘you got your dues’

I felt like a child chastised, ' how can you
Pass judgement'… but you just did,
Well ensconced in your new shoes…

A tall stem of yellow lily in my vase
seems to say forgive and let go,
sorrow shared is not always halved.
