come down

and from the faintest to the brightest
let me give them a name.

Magbabalik Din - ang anak ng bayan

Ang anak ng Bayan
saan mang panig
ng mundo makarating
gaano man kalayo
sa lupang
kanyang sinilangan
siya ay magbabalik.

Kung sakali mang
siya'y mabigo
at sa lupang sinilangan
ay hindi makabalik
asahan mo
kabilang sa kanyang yaman
ay mga bagay
na puno ng alaala
ng lupang
kanyang sinilangan.

Just An Ordinary Man

He's just an ordinary man
with looks not that smart
he works from eight to five
drives his car
drinks with friends on Friday nights
goes to church on Sundays.

He's just an ordinary man
but I don't know why
I love to see him everyday,
to make him coffee at breakttime
