A Gift From God
if i had to say how i feel,
i can't really say,
you were my mother,
a gift from god,
that i couldn't keep,
not a day go by,
that i wish you were by my side,
days are getting harder,
living a life without you is rough,
i would give anything to have you back,
there are times i think how i can be with you,
but, than i miss people here,
things push me to end my life,
but, i hang on,
because along the way,
there have to be something better,

i remember the look in your eyes
it was something i just now realize.
the way it look like fear
like you really cared
afraid of what you were leaving behind
made you fight for more time.
only if i could of did more
but instead you went out the door

Holding On To A Secret From The Past
i'm about to explode,
how many secrets,
can a person hold onto?
i hide how i feel,
but it still shows,
all the pain and hurt,
it's all so hard to keep,
how do one open up and share?
will they believe me?
will they say it's all in my head?
will they laugh?

i thought i lost my mind
the day i lost you
days go by
and i just wonder why
how can you leave?

you may know me,
more than i thought,
but, that's okay,
that's what drives me crazy,
not many people,
can read between the lines,
that's what sets you apart,
show me you can be there,

Being thankful for what you have
being thankful in life,
don't mean material things,
it's for enjoying the little things in life,
things that money can't buy,
like good friends and family,
becuz in the end,
when it feels like you have nothing,
you still have by your side,
what matters the most,

everything we had,
seem to come to the surface,
i keep quite and can't say,
everything i keep hidden,
like my feeling for you,
