Pamuditha Zen Anjana

Closer To The Sun

The colors fell slowly
on to the rusted Earth
for yet another day went by
with a mischievous smile

Lightly inhaling the incense of life, paused
took the safe exit, for it was worth the wait!

Alas! Wish every moment I'd be
a tender lullaby in your ears
a soft murmur beside you
a shadow that follows… Sigh!

Stirred from my sleep and you winked, Smiles
fell upon the darkness and you lit me up, literally!

With slightly trembling wings
like a new-born butterfly
rises from its cocoon, I
I started flying…

A Pause

A lonely traveler stood frozen
up on the highest peak, the apex
of a floating, sullen iceberg
in an isolated sea of nowhen

A mind focused on a single task
a heart filled with love as, for him
universe existed and revolved
around that one single person

Had he taken his heart out
and showed her it's still beating,
still bleeding for her, but nay
he didn't, and she'd have known

Instead, had his eyes closed
with a lost smile on his lips
mere memories of eventides and
auroras playing on his inner eye

Memories

All of a sudden,
Heaven fell down on me
and when you spoke
I felt content, and my heart,
it skipped beats
literally…

Slowly,
the whole world faded
and faces became just blurs
the time froze in its tracks
and you stepped closer
closer than my own shadow

Arrived the butterflies
as your fragrance lingered
and mesmerized me
I inhaled you once
and I got devoted…

A Moment

Alas!
Depression...!

It keeps eating
at my core.
Sinking its,
saliva dripping teeth
in to my brainheart.

It keeps darkening
my vision.
Throwing its,
damp air filled bosom
in front of my sanity.

I think,
I must stop
Thinking...

Just for a day,

After Rain

Have you ever seen a rainbow
really up closer to your face
yet a bit out of reach and blurred
that you cannot easily touch it

The more you jump up towards
the more it rises up high
nevertheless you keep on trying
for it's the reason you exist

Have you ever felt the rush
the rush of stuttering feelings
struggling to surface from within
though you're working to keep them in

the eyes might say thousand stories
but the fingertips doesn't move
they are suppressing the feelings
not wanting to let them out

Unnamed Love

The Gloom,
I wandered through
screamed at me
like a wolf adoring
the new moon,
it howled at me,
to stop my search!

Overhead,
starry skies
kept staring at me,
like a virgin flirting
with her first crush,
they winked at me,
to stop my search!

The chilly breeze,
kept touching my hair
as a polite hooker,
it invited me to dance

The Junction

The ways…

They are getting clearer.
The moments are suggesting,
you go on
without looking back.

My mind says,
follow me…
I'll guide you
through the darkness.
I'll show you
the way to succes.

My heart says,
follow me instead…
I'll give you
happiness.

I ask myself

In My Own Eyes

I consider myself…
as vast as the empty skies
and soft as the bright moonlight
as deep as the blue oceans
and refreshing as the chilling breeze

Everyone thinks…
I'm delusional and say I think too much
but I can't help it, and I keep doing it
not because I'm precarious or insecure
just that I'm really afraid of losing

I really hope…
that I won't be too late to embrace life
that I'll be able to pronounce the words
rather than speaking ‘em in my mind
that I'll be myself not someone else

Now I feel like…
I've arrived to a place where there's light

Change Of Heart

My strongholds are melting
roots are falling
I'm trying to keep up the shields
but still I'm failing

Been standing still for years
now finally I'm moving
been obeying my fears all along
now everything is clearing

It's like I'm really hurt from inside
and it felt like I'm decaying
it's hard to hold on to this chained life
but now I'm through of assaying

I was only seeing movements
through this decapitated sight
shadows of hope and torments
emerging within every night

Life In A Glass Capsule

Out There...
A face-less world awaits me.
Crowded with rainbow-masked people,
all wearing their own veils of fury,
hiding fear stricken faces from me.
they search me on a barren world
To reveal the bare inside me.

Trying to tear my face-off,
In order to wreck havoc upon the good,
They scratch my cover,
with pieces of the sheet of reality,
which long ago shattered by visionaries.
Using the dark sledgehammers of hope,
They bang on the outer-shells,
fantasizing 'em breaking the locks of radicalism.

But...
I'm tubed within & encaged inside.
Protected from the silicon outside...
