Forced Choices

The chloroformed sky,
Above the medicated mind,
Forced to go blind.
Accepting restriction,
Without prejudice,
Never asking why.

Transfixed and transposed.
Life upon Death.
We tread a fine line,
Never defined...
The abstract and the concrete,
Both beyond reach.
What we practise, we never preach.
