A Package of Love

Do you have this old bald headed man
in the deep of your supple heart,
for to be your eternal partner?
Ha! Ha! If you run on the beach gently,
I won't chase you but hobble around a tree.

What aspect of me lured you dear?
Is it my wrinkled, spectacled face
or my packed savings bank account?
When your fantasies take wings,
I would lie down and fall in a little doze.

Your sneers and looks with kicks
are the same to me, the half blind man.
'Uncle', you called me first in your nice tone,
but sprinkled your smiles on my face later.
O, twinkle the stars and throw light on my face!

If you go to a five-star hotel,
I will follow you to eat and exhaust your purse.

My Sparkling Eyes!

I can't see anything
without spectacles.
Luring eyes get vexed
not being responded by my eyes.
The child-carrying anaemic mother
or the shivering octogenarian
travelling in buses as standees,
eyeing me up to receive my seat,
are not looked at all by my eyes.
Specks of dust cover my glasses
when chain-snatchers or those
who scare public peace bustle around.
As my eyes fail to greet
Known people on the road
They think of me as being proud.

But a fifty rupee note on the walk way
before the busy market
made a clear image in my shifting eyes.
I looked around and picked it up.

A Single Glance

O, you boys! When shafts of light
beamed from the beady eyes of the girls,
you duck like our batsmen and go unhurt.
How could a single glance
make you fall or tall in life?

When you have no ATM cards,
the miracles of those wanton snares,
end as mirages doing nothing.
How could a single glance
make an empty hand to go to royal cafes.?

The teen aged boys need some counsels
for ignoring those glares and flares
as the girls like the West Indian fast battery
unsettle, shake and stumble
and divert them from their goals.

Some cine-stars in football stadiums
went half denuded as their glances didn’t serve

Casino Crown In Melbourne

Casino Crown in Melbourne
Those who are economical
and calculating with frugal lifestyles,
shouldn't enter Casino Crown's gambling world.
The colourful and dreamy atmosphere
will lure you to loosen your purse strings.
See the finance wizards wobble before the Poker Machines.
The misers too will be tempted to gamble on the horses.
Some rookies well-versed in rummy dared to rumble
with the machines and stare at the display of results.
Go to village cinema theatres there with your real partner.
If you visit this extraterrestrial abode with your fake love
to partake in these exciting games, not only your coffers
but your luscious partner too will be fleeing away from you.

Send the corrupt, the underworld goons and the smugglers
to Casino Crown for to be punished. They can eat yummy cakes,
sip tasty wines and play with machines
and go back to their countries in loin-clothes.
Nice guys shuffle the cards and the baffled men lose their bets.

Reminiscences Of My Students' Exemplary Behaviour

A few students got up at 5 A.M. to study
and went to bed after 11 P.M.completing Home Work.
They would be absent to Science Practicals
and recorded in their notebooks the readings of others.

When they were taken on tours to other States,
with bare hands they would enter the bus
and with bags of stolen goods they returned.
They would blow kisses at girls and receive in plenty.

Before they played games in tournaments,
they would take hot drinks along with their teachers.
Some boys of the suppressed classes would let loose
vulgar jokes on girls of other classes and sparked fire.

My students wouldn't give seats to the old in buses.
'Why shouldn't these dying ones wait and catch an empty bus? '
they would say but let the fairones to take their seats soon.
They would identify the bluffing teachers and be his friends.

We and our Laws

Our laws permit the police
to lay a trap to catch,
the worst criminal at large,
only on receiving complaints.

The people are cut into size
by the laws of our land
and those of the chopper-rowdies.
The weak and the meek can’t dare
file complaints against the killers
and the cops ignore the unruly deeds.

Some doctors loot the kidneys
and make a quick fortune.
They land in jails after a decade
when the police receive complaints.
Some feign as tax-officers
crush the flowers in the cine-films
and rob their hard-earned money.
The cops won’t act till those girls

Friendship

Friendship is the bond
that ties the nation together,
though the religions, races and castes
divide people to maul each other.

One should be ashamed of being friendless
in this world of Internet with billions
of human souls craving for mercy
and superbrains to share their knowledge.

A good friend make amends
to your weaker spots.
He does not see and relish,
when troubles nibble you.

Evil mates with maligning nature
must be given send-off in the bud.
Though noble friends are rare to get
don't be hasty to move with the guile.

Amazing Sights of Mt.Buller(near Aussie Melbourne))

As we reached the Horse Hill
amazing sights of snow-falls,
our searching eyes, filled.
The old and the kids
slide down in snowboards
on a small stretch of slopes.
Wonderful feasts of Nature
we enjoyed at Mt.Buller.
From the bottom of the snow-clad vale
I moved up in my snow walking boots.
In that awesome sunny day
my boots sank a bit in some places.
But the boys give the snow a good boot
catch the ice crystals and shoot them off.

Icicles hang from the roof-tops
of the restaurants, clinics and sheds.
On the branches of dead trees
snowy pythons are lying on them.
The children practise skiing

Soldiers Of The Kargil War

You trek through the snow-clad vales with guns,
knowing well you march ahead into traps of death,
forgetting yourselves, your kith and kin,
to face the fierce foes religion-eaten
and kill them and be killed or lynched.
You bury the corpse of those fanatics
doing the rites their parents need to do,
as you are from a humane race.
But when we receive your flag-draped coffins,
seeing your mangled bodies
we vent our spleen in flowing tears.

The Tololing peak and the Tiger Hill
speak volumes of your valiant deeds.
But not even a bit of land we have
will ope its lips of our cowardly life.
The wealth we heaped and the life we reaped
will go to waste as the wheel turns..
Our morbid blood is not fit to spill
even on the dells around our hamlets.

Unspoken Love

A battle mute we’ve been waging all along
without sharing words of love or grief.
You want to wail over your tragic life
and seek my words of consolation.
But I’ve no nerve to speak with you.
Your languorous visage makes my eyes wet
yet I don’t break through my slumber.
The animals, birds and all other moving things
don’t keep silence like us for decades,
being love-sick but dare n’t burst it out.

I’m not a magpie but can respond at times.
But God forbids somehow when I rush at you.
My dear……! This silence abnormal
with buried words, tales, breaths and tears,
known only to us both, the stealthy cheats,
drove me to pour out into a madrigal,
that may make you fiery..
“ You don’t talk with every randy dealer;
you turn aside when touts approach to hook you.
