Love Sonnet 57 Oh crescent moon, hurry, be full again,
Oh crescent moon, hurry, be full again,
A dread to see you in diminished state,
My love conjures sweet memories in vain,
Might so, until your glow would reinstate;
Gardens would rile at blooms flaunted unseen,
The larks, their songs withheld in reticence,
Hearts beat slower, alone where tryst had been,
As did my own, throbbing in like cadence;
But should your face restore to bright fullness,
Lovers in penury of affection,
Though far apart, will join in sheer sweetness,
Recalled of nights bathed in your reflection;
..She looks at you, dear moon, from distant shores,
……Towards that spot she sees, my sight now soars.

Love Sonnet 76: Merry moments that we commit to mind,
Merry moments that we commit to mind,
Ensure past plights recalled, would not be bleak,
For these pockets of mirth we often find,
Could spice our joys to strength when weak;
Your laughter I did save for somber times,
And goodly news withheld for dreary days;
Mind not scant songs, for we wrote reserved rhymes,
And kindness we could split up many ways;
Should you be gone someday, as do all things,
Your grin, like that of Cheshire Cat's, remains,
Just like the hope a worthy promise brings,
Or morn that soon the dawning day obtains;
……The fond moments are interludes, sweetness,
……Or memories, to purvey loneliness.

Of Puppies And Kings
I read about a king last night,
So rich and powerful was he,
And how with vainglory and might,
He took as slaves men who were free,
And sees all in the world as his,
To give him all the pomp and bliss;
And this puppy wiggling at me,
Waiting for some pat on its head,
But what, if I then set it free,
Would it regard release with dread?
To miss that dreamy doggy house,
And joys this dwelling did arouse?
I live life somewhere in between,
Some part puppy, and some part king,
To crave comforts, but not that keen,
Finding true love, and little fling,
Sometimes righteous, sometimes wrong,
And free, but needed to belong.

Of Truths And Hoaxes
Spoofers have made issues so many times,
Of lunar landing as be-hoaxed by some,
And so, this mars landing it undermines,
As though, this too, would as doubtful become;
No more are space ventures promptly believed,
As mind wised up, not to be gypped by words,
With truth and farce similarly perceived,
When all would come from scheming media lords;
Conspiracies have made some lies look true,
But what of truths not to appear as lies,
Should men need band together for that too?
And this for mars landing also applies?
……When men once thought that sun moves around Earth,
……Hell was to say that sun fills center berth.

Infidelity
It's been said, love is best which is the first,
Much like untrodden snow, that lips drink pure
Makes lovers pledge, would not of others thirst
Though they could fall, to other drink's allure:
Might love that's held to be the last truer?
When fickle hearts would lose vitality?
But is there time when love do stop after,
Such that last love would be reality?
And what if first stays on to be the last?
When hearth is constantly in warmth, so keen
So tied up, might the tender fell aghast,
No chance to stoke some other fire between:
......Only love that's blind can make faithful be,
......The one whom other loves it cannot see.

Love Sonnet 152 Pray, Tell Me, Why Creation Comes In Pairs
Pray, tell me, why creation comes in pairs,
Why goose be there, where so goes the gander,
Why should matching twains fill the beastly lairs,
Why the Lord parted joy, made me wonder;
Can't the wanting fool, feel happy alone,
Should emptiness cause loneliness to start,
Can't my passion be, just as cold as stone,
Why my longings been for my other part;
Truth salves in vain, hearts that writhe in pain,
Only when goose, would to its nest, return,
Will its brood, find life, complete again,
Even when mending bridges, that still burn;
.....Life's puzzle seems so purposely replete,
.....With missing pieces, for us, to complete.

Love Sonnet 178 I trodded memories in foggy lanes,
I trodded memories in foggy lanes,
Marked by shredded dreams strewn along the way,
A glimmer sheds its light on love that wanes,
To bring recall, without which hearts can stray;
For thus, shadows are cleared from misty past,
Where gossamer of doubt has spun so thick,
Now covering the truth, it riles aghast,
That lamp so pure had burned with liars' wick;
Oblivion balms the cruel stripes of Fate,
To numb the pain that from the blows proceeds,
Or may requite the coast that waves vacate,
So bare, when ebbing tide of love recedes;
.....Memories a lifetime make, till undone,
.....By strings of broken hearts till fog is gone.

Love Sonnet 19 I always aim for chance to catch your eye,
I always aim for chance to catch your eye,
To regal you with all the things you like,
Go places in the hope to pass you by,
Be it on hills or streams, so goes my hike;
Much like a diver of a pearl so rare,
I scour the deeps or shores where waves do break,
As mountaineer, that to summits would dare,
None proves so high to keep me from the peak;
Yet, in my search for songs akin to yours,
Not one Naiad I found singing your art,
Will Sphinx so known for quaint riddle it roars,
Guess rightly all the puzzles of your heart?
.......My hope is Aphrodite to guide your mirth,
.......Along the ways to give this love its birth.

Prayer Of The Meek
My Lord, please set my heart to make amends,
Fill me words of truth, not of one deranged,
Make me so meek towards some estranged friends,
Whose tongues to scorpions' tails have so exchanged;
Let not my pen be sharper than their swords,
My coat, make not of more colors than theirs,
Give me wisdom as modesty affords,
I only act for good, my heart declares;
I drank perfumes to scent the words I spoke,
And closed my eyes to purify my thoughts,
With fettered hands, to burden I did yoke,
My pen, not sharp enough to make onslaughts;
……My Lord, make me as light where so I pass,
…..Or let me fly so not to tread the grass.

Hope
When ravages of Fate leaves but a thread,
On which to cling, so not to fall so hard,
The mind would bask on glories it once led,
Though now sadly unsung by any bard;
Will Time turn round half circle towards the past?
To, once again, relive the days gone by?
When future climes had run their course at last,
Could History still, once more, glorify;
With thread on which our dreams are made to hang,
Above the flood Adversity may bring,
To wait until the larks again have sang,
When hearts have found new happy tunes to sing;
.......When all the dreams had fled before men's eyes,
.......Hope stays until the end, and never dies.
