Love Sonnet 167 Black Colors My Days, It's A Waste Of Night
Black colors my days, it's a waste of night,
In dark stark raiment, it cloaks of my heart,
For love has dimmed, the bright days seemed in blight,
Its dark hues tint, even dreams that depart;
Yet, nary is there picture without shades,
No returns to wait, if you did not leave,
And with much exposure, novelty fades,
Makes your absence, bit easier to bereave;
Life is not all garden where roses grow,
For with it thrive the weeds which cause the pain,
And mark, that blue skies make not the rainbow,
It's the sunshine, with some help from the rain;
........Let my bright days be rained by your coming,
........If that assures rainbows will be showing.

Love Sonnet 40 Carefree Butterfly, Guide Her Back To Me,
Carefree butterfly, guide her back to me,
The one with flowers on her lovely hair,
In lush gardens, more blooms you might yet see,
But mark that there, no one is half as fair;
Find her basking with lilies white as milk,
Like snow which missed the rhythm of the year,
Or lodged with orchids, petals soft as silk,
Or with daisies, such heads so large to bear;
Follow her scent from garlands on her neck,
As in my ears, her voice still rings like song,
Of this whole world, she would be but a speck,
And be so lost, but would not be for long;
.....Spread out your wings, and take off from your perch,
.....To lush gardens, you must commence your search.

Love Sonnet 173 The dawn, the dawn, on other distant shores,
The dawn, the dawn, on other distant shores,
Methinks, is what drove her to go on sprees,
If night is what she thinks that always stores,
Her fate in place called 'here' if naught she flees;
For life became familiar everyday,
Contempt seemed all that it has ever brought,
The heart no longer feels promises sway,
So stranger arms, and warmer lips it sought;
But dawn breaks here, when there the sun would set,
Persephone comes now, Hades bereaved,
Those other shores, soonest would she forget,
Dead dreams replaced with visions now conceived;
......Though night might again come as day is spent,
......Dawn follows right behind, as things have went.

Love Sonnet 184 Why should the waves keep rushing to the shore?
Why should the waves keep rushing to the shore?
What great wisdom derives from thought of this?
What did they say, wise men, sages of yore,
That recent hoary wits would all but miss?
Fools often pledge true love, fervent as waves,
In passion so intense, whilst waters roll,
Only to find doldrums, that stop their raves,
And soon their hearts, to strange gardens would stroll;
Love that stretches too far, far out to reach,
Madness that fades with Time, its vagaries,
If it be sea, it ends on yonder beach,
And moon, would strip it there of memories;
.....Waves mimic life, the rise and fall of things,
.....Of fools and lovers, of beggars and kings.

Romeo
Romeo where does Juliet find her peace?
In somber halls that constitute her grave?
Though pure love between you and her can't cease,
Why should death be, what both of you would crave?
The dreams that die when hearts would stop to beat,
Might find some other nights where to exist,
Though might not be as grand as first was great,
Still lips would prove as sweet as one you've kissed;
Yet love can't learn to see when it is blind,
Lovers are bound in chains to its command,
The only one respite that they could find,
Is when in death that's meted by its hand;
.....Love, as love could be, in death or in life,
.....Is never free of the inherent strife.

Love Sonnet 154 Your Sweetness Calls To Me As Of Honey
Your sweetness calls to me as of honey,
Rightfully speaking for a thousand bees,
With ambiance that floral scents convey,
Or else, breeze, purified by leaves of trees;
As water gushing from rocks, crystal clear,
Having passed through grains, fine, of layered sand,
As gem from cutter's stone, priceless, so dear,
As coat of wool, virgin on every strand;
You could have thorns, inherent on a rose,
As with ants in fruits, that sweetness is proved,
But every night, as labors draw to close,
You are the thought to which my dreams have grooved;
......In clearest skies where countless stars abide,
......Your brightness stands out from the rest with pride.

Love Sonnet 164 O Rose, You've Bloomed Rosier, Though Bitter
O Rose, you've bloomed rosier, though bitter,
How many hopefuls waited by your door?
Their dreams lie there, among shreds that litter,
Were they not the ones who adored you more?
Some bees came to see, and yet left empty,
Was it true, there's no nectar, no one sips?
Those who aimed lower, hit your thorns, plenty,
Is mine way higher that could reach your lips?
Your cell shuts the world out, but locks you in,
If as chrysalis, what you would intend,
Come out soon, as butterfly all out to win
The world, as outward forms you did transcend;
......Yet, till then, dreams may die, this fool implores,
......And God forbid, that one such dream be yours.

Love Sonnet 180 The lake's water sparkles in placid bliss,
The lake's water sparkles in placid bliss,
As bright sunlight reflects from new ripples,
Like lips of bride kept waiting for a kiss,
While groom finds sweet delay in her dimples;
Gently blows the breeze, playful in its moods,
To skim the trees of withered leaves to shed,
Beneath the boughs, they pile throughout the woods,
That now, Summer as seen has almost fled;
My heart desires to keep this scene intact,
Of when the skies still blaze of Springtime light,
When you as bride, figured in every act,
As this lone audience basks in great delight;
......Curtains did fall, but this play still proceeds,
......And would do so though its playtime exceeds.

Love Sonnet 34 Dearest Moon, Bring These Thoughts To Where She Is,
Dearest moon, bring these thoughts to where she is,
She yearns moonbeams when coming from your face,
Will you bounce to her if I blow a kiss,
Across the sea, there to her flowered place?
Do you tire, the way lovers supplicate,
To have their wish conveyed, and would you please,
For one who waits, just no matter how late,
With heart to soothe and grieved mind to appease?
And care that not a cloud covers your glow,
Just as I choose my words, whence hard I try,
Some raindrops told her things that naught I know,
And moonless nights do always make her cry;
.....So once you see my love looking so sad,
.....Pour out those words of mine to make her glad.

Beauty And Character
As graces fade, and praise speaks oft no more,
To mirrors, dimmed for face, of erstwhile glow;
Beholders now belie, the sight before,
Which they were known, to have professed to know;
For Charm would ebb, as seawards flow the tide,
Where stony coast, would show its dried up coves,
When marks of Time, it no longer could hide,
And what frailty, that beauty is, it proves.
But Character accumulates with time;
Though fools fussed over looks Time stole, the wise
Seeks no ambrosia to prolong his prime,
Or shun wrinkles that etch Beauty's demise;
...Should Wrinkles squeal: 'Time's the thief! Time's the thief! '
...Character would say: 'Time farms in my fief.'
