Alone With My Passion
You laugh at everybody’s joke
You weep at somebody’s ache
You shout ‘hurray’ at anybody’s triumph
You watch any celebrities’ show
You cheer for your players’ game
You’re present in your friends’ needs
You giggle with their laughs and gags
You’re amazed with their best and worse
So how come that you’re so unfair to me
For when I let you see something I did
You dared not look
Even a single glance you cannot spare with me
Then how could you say you love me
When my best was nothing but sh_t
How could you say you love everything in me
When you can’t take what I love to do
You will never be proud of me, I know
So when I die
Never, never talk about me
I do not need your praise

A Butterfly Who Can't Get Out of His Cocoon
There was a mother butterfly
Who wished to have a female child
But out of his lain eggs in the meadow
She wasn’t sure if her wish was granted though
Then one baby caterpillar came out
From his broken shell he crawled up
With so much blessings around him
He grew faster and changed his skin
The caterpillar then became a pupa
Hung upside down on a woody plant
He surpassed the strong wind
Through the calamity of life he stays in
The time has come for the pupa
After slowly changing his shape inside
He has to crack his own cocoon
He has to let his wings out soon

Change of Heart
You wiped perspiration from your brow
You know you mustn’t take this seriously as a big blow
So you sat down and tried to get your composure back
You can't pretend nothing happened and you shrugged.
Finally you stood up, and to friends you bid goodbye
Leaving the crowd with your heavy heart and sigh
As you drove your car you shook your head
And murmured, “Oh, this should not be the end.”
From the music inside your car
Still you can hear her annoying sound
Among the crowd she hardly puts on her crown.
This is not the first time, she’s boastful and proud.
She always acts as if she is the best in town.
Many times she hurt you but you didn’t frown
You remain faithful, keep her out of blue
Even though she is not worthy of you.

The Scar
Oh Lord, it’s very hard
To always be soft & kind
Especially to somebody
Who hurt me so badly.
I thought for some time
I am healed and the pain is gone
But now the heartache that he once gave
Is somehow felt inside my heart
Though I want to follow You
And I know the golden rule
To love my enemy is not easy
To forget all those miseries
He brought me through the years.
Oh Lord, now You see me
Crying in distress, under pain
Because the scar freshens again
What should I do, help me then

Happy Anniversary
I really miss you on this special day
I know you will call to greet me today
“Happy Anniversary” that’s all we can say
Yes, I am lonely ‘cause you’re so far away
But don’t worry, I can manage anyway
Seems like only yesterday when we took our vows
We said “I do” as tears were on my eyes
We took our pledge to share life together
Through thick and thin our love will be stronger
We promised, life will be filled with joys and laughter
That was nineteen years ago
And still I’m madly in love with you
Love matures yet we stay young at hearts
‘Cause we try to keep the flame inside
We keep our passion to lights our desires
We have endured the ups and downs of life
We’ve struggled so much and we survived

Farewell General
Oh General why did you end your life
Why did you leave all the issues behind
I thought you have that strong will
Put your name out of shame and sin
Is this your way to end this war
Did you get tired of breaking the bar
Why did you just desert this battle field
And left all your men in grief
Seems that you lose the courage
Or you just want to free yourself
Didn’t mind if others might be wounded
Oh, can they win this fight in the end
I’m not a fan of you General
I have a little knowledge of you, man
But I can’t help myself wonder why
A person like you preferred to die

The Day You Were Born
From a peaceful night a new day has been born
As the sun slowly peeping from its room
The cold breeze sways its tail as it waves on
Goodbye to darkness, hello beautiful dawn
Days traveled so fast, another year has passed
Hours are loaded with so much tasks
It may escape and to your attention
Forgot that September is ending soon
Yes, it’s September 29, the day you were born
Another abounding year to tally on
Another day to thank our Almighty Lord
For giving you the best life in this world
I don’t know if you’ve waited for this day
This is remarkable yet it may just pass away
You may think this is just the same
Of the other days that come your way

Trying Hard
i
I am not a poet, I'm certainly not
I am not like Denise Bekker, though she is my type.
Definitely, I can't be like Dr. Subhendu Kar
a brilliant writer full of love.
But I dream to be like Hasmukh Amathalal
Whose works for me are all five stars
I can't be like them, I'm just a copy cat.
ii
Who am I to be a poet?
I could do no brilliant pieces
English and writing are my weaknesses.
The truth is, with English I've never been clever
I rather close my mouth, lending an ear is better
Than to open my lips and be laughed by many
Is it not so funny? I am no one, but to dream is free.
iii
How can I create a better piece?
Most of the time I run out of words and I can't think
Of flowery words and metaphors that fit.

Awakenings
Confusion, uncertainties, low self esteem
Depression, tearfulness, fear in its extreme
Loss of self confidence in everything
That’s all I have experienced
How really, really dim.
My greatest sin, a shadow of love
For I have prayed day and night
The love in me may subside
Anger, hatred that’s what I found
Inside my heart, it comes alive.
I thought for awhile, bear in mind
That if I am as cold as an ice
I will not be hurt, sad in life
They will not care I told myself
Who do really care, I mutter.
But I was wrong, how selfish I was
Because the greatest gift of God above

In Loving Memory
Lighted bulbs fill the room
But I’m totally enveloped by gloom
Flowers scent freshens the air
Yet I was suffocated, I was in pain
Still I can’t believe this fact
This tragedy that has shaken us
Our lives have changed suddenly
You’re gone and we’re all in misery
I know there is no like any other pain
Than the pain of losing someone so dear
But we have to face everybody’s fate
We have to accept that you’re no longer here
This sadness is so unbearable
But you can’t console us anymore
Unlike what you did before
When someone gets hurt
And runs to you for comfort
