Knickers

Knickers are cute
knickers are fun
they cover my do, do
and hide my big bum!
Some lacy
some saucy
some pink
and some black,
I try them all on,
then sneak them all back!
My wife doesn't know
that I try on her drawers
I hope you don't tell!
I won't do it no more!

I am the child
I am the flower
I am the wood louse
under the stone

I am the air
I am the sound
from the telephone

I am the water
I am a fish

Potty Plant Love

I stroked the house plant,
nurtured it, loved it,
watered it, fed it and
spoke sweet nothing's
to its leaves.
Now it has bloomed,
sprouted baby leaves,
encouraged by me
and suddenly I've noticed
it's leaning towards me
in the opposite direction
to the sun.........

War

It took nine months to make you,
hard labour to give you breath,
sixteen years to watch you grow
until you left the nest.
Then they took you
In their army,
sent you off to war
and on one dark and filthy night
it took one shot, ten seconds
for them to take your life.

Culinary choice

He was a lover of meat
and she was a lover of veg'
so between them it was a treat
to dine on spaghetti instead.
They'd suck and they'd slurp
and they'd dribble,
spaghetti was so hard to nibble
but low and behold
the sauce made a glow
all over their chins
and the table.

Kissy, Kissy

Kissing you was cold and messy!
What is worse, I caught the flu

Kissing him was warm as bliss,
so thrilling that my heartbeat missed!

Kissing her was short and sweet,
I missed her mouth and kissed her cheek.

I've had such a funny week
all kisses with no time to speak!

The Shadow

The shadow followed me up the road,
laughed at me, teased me, sneaked up on me.
It looked far slimmer than me,
more agile, more spritely.........
and as I turned my head it tricked me,
ducked and dived behind a tree,
making a dash to catch up
the moment my back was turned.

Cupboard Love

To my most deserving
and desirable wife,
I write this love note.

I watched you beneath
the pale blue spotlight,
it made your eyes sparkle.

You looked delightful
but still, I can't deny
what I admire in you most

is the way you always
perfectly butter
my early morning toast.
