A Gift From Prometheus To Mankind
In Greek Mythology there are many legends,
written about the cruelty, vindictiveness of the gods.
Zeus and the other gods in their petty jealousy,
rivalry often punished, sacrificed men like pawns.
Before the rule of Olympian Gods other Gods ruled.
These were the powerful Titans, the mighty elder gods.
Prometheus was the noblest of the sons of Uranus and Gaia.
Titans all three! Prometheus an arch-rebel and friend to man!
Prometheus belonged to the powerful race of Titans!
The powerful Titans, were cousins to the Olympian Gods,
whose constant hostility to man, Prometheus opposed!
Prometheus gave the wondrous gift of fire to man!
Hearing of this, in a rage Zeus, ordered Prometheus,
seized punished imprisoned; bound by steel chains!

Misty Songs Of Yearning
This unseasonal cold
and misty Christchurch rain;
blows biting weeping yet stirs,
the tempo suiting,
separating Pakeha souls.
For we are lost lifelong friends
treading solo our last bittersweet
summer wine; drunk separately,
together, in long twilight, Aotearoa.
Weep summer skies weep
tears forecasting foretelling frozen
turmoil thundering departure.
Rain born of Aorangi
Ao cloud and Rangi sky
rain born of cloud in the sky.
Rain born of Aorangi Maori;

Silences Speak In My Soul
how can I tell you
of the silences
that speak to me
that I reach out
to touch in moments
stretching back to
inspiration of creation
I feel speak in my soul
unique in my stillness
witnessing one vast smile
as whole universe shines
in God’s creative smile
creation comes upon me
creation is all within me
creation infuses my being
creation is sea of awareness

Fleeting Thought
As I walk upon the beach
I listen to the waves.
I like to hear them crash against the rocks
Time and time again.
I think of an army charging a stronghold
A legion of surging white knights,
Contemptuously charging a wall of granite-faced men,
Brown wind-cracked faces
Shields locked for battle
Death alone will break them.
Streaming white horsehair standards
Lifted over the crest of a ridge.
The sun’s level rays
Striking fire
On their spear points,
And their gleaming blue shields.
Instantly rises a full-throated war cry
The clash and grind of weapons of steel,
The hollow booming of war horns, the rolling thunder

The Prophet and The Poet: Mysteries Written In Psalms
What is wondrous Psalms?
Now a question arises?
Why is Psalms prized most
frequently quoted Old Testament
book in Holy New Testament?
Does not every verse psalm point
to Christ in glorified person
in his character ministry?
Or lead believer's thoughts
to Christ.
Are not
the psalms
the language pursuit
of a believer's heart;
thirsting for our God

The Word Walks Across Centuries
The Word Walks

Someone once said
Jesus Christ

to inspire spread
his Gospel Message because...
