Lady Of Fayum
Do you know
you are about to die?
Did you know
you were about to die?
Was this naturalistic
painted portrait
upon choice wooden panel
commissioned veritable
painted prior
to encroaching death?
Prestigious portrait
face covering inserted
brilliant colours bright
in far gaze farewell
in height of Roman fashion
in hair styles clothes jewelry

Flood me wise
Stuck for smiles
Bathe me mist shine
Glorious defined

For love abounds around
This protection against
Lesson earth harms...
Even cold ice
Surrender to love warm
Burn all boundaries
Immerse confidence
With no concept worry
Welcoming birth of glory
Out of this key world
There's no single time

High Proud Burning Gaze
The weight of my words were chains
my thoughts were whips which lashed
me cruelly. I had epitomized nothing
yet nothing, was not embodiment.
Was not, encompassed all I had.
I had a dream, the cruel
harsh light of reality,
woke me, shattering vision
to countless splintered fragments.
Still bond memory endures.
Sometimes meaning came to me
like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
Only with time could pieces
be arranged prepared put in order.
Neglected fusion body suffered
in pursuits of commitment mind.
Still dream memory endures.

No Escape
There is no longer anywhere.
Anyplace to run. To avoid necessity
of facing; oneself in mirrors.
No unexplained frontiers
unknown continents accessible;
to unexplored common man.
Ocean depths polar regions space.
Are only open to obtainable;
highly skilled. Specialized
individuals. With full corporate
backing; technology research grants.
None may venture forth alone.
This age demands; emotions
must be faced overcome.
With pressing need; in areas
never so cognitively challenged.
We can no longer escape
into labours; rhythm drudgery
or exhaustion of physical effort.

Great Beauty Past And Present
Think of all the great beauty
still remaining in this world...
on land beaches rivers mountains
at sea beneath the ocean waves
all the species of incredible fishes
uncounted diverse marine life
in the air birds the fliers
insects in their myriads
bats gliders like squirrels
once flying also were pterosaurs
155 million years of powered flight
found on every continent except
Antarctica yet with over sixty genera
discovered and flight skills equal
or exceeding birds (pterosaurs' had

Do you think you need to
save our souls?
What makes you think
our souls need saving?
Do you feel you need to
save our souls?
To save your own... wretched neck?
What have you done so wrong
you feel you need to
save our souls so badly?

of the righteous one, but
as regards the mouth of the wicked
ones, it covers up violence.” Proverbs 10: 6.
