Initials in your heart

People come and go
Like seasons and snow
Some people stay forever
These are the people we hold close
until the end of never
Some people go
Like they were never present at all
Where others carve their initials
into your heart, you will never be apart
Among those people there were
few from the start
They leave footprints in your memory
That will be remembered for eternity
