And then the voice came out
Some heard the sibilant siffling of Cerces' hordes
Some heard the oration of a great states person
To others the sounds resembled the squabbling of high flying geese
Or a yard full of primary school children
A monotonous drone buzzed in some ears
While the in-crowd claimed to have witnessed
The auditory incantations of a collapsing wizard
As yet others grooved on the suspended Om
Of an old Om Mane Padme hummer
Was it not Swami Satchitananda-ji who said,
Way back in '72: In every home there is an OM
His Om lasting a full half-hour - for effect
And the crowd totally blissed out on the vibe, man
To the fringe element, hallucinatory displacements of air waves
Yielded harmonics akin to the World beat
Of course there were those who heard speak
The devil incarnate

Ownage
She struggled with words
Thing or thingy came easy
Signified sufficiently
Even though she knew
A mosquitoes' trombone
To be a proboscis
She labored her phrases
With ahs and ahzza'z
Twiddling her tongue
Searching a cool adjective
Or frantically an elusive adverb
Tumbling expended on place mat verbs
Admirably she read
Despite her dyslexia
The funnies, the horoscope
The want ads, labels
Garnering her information larder
By excessive eco-surfing

In Honour Of You
In honour of you I'll live my life
To the very best of my ability
I'll recall and apply every wise counsel you ever offered
Savour every word you said trying to raise whatever
Cherish your every attempt to make me feel
In honour of you I'll face the pain gladly
I'll be thankful for the occasion to gain insight
I'll do my utmost to meet with equanimity
Every asshole angel put on my path
Welcoming each challenge as a great opportunity to grow
In honour of you - who has shown me being
Who's own pain is never ever spoken
Who's long suffering is celebrated as a great gift
Who's love and teaching nourishes so, so many
Many and I see life with far, far clearer eyes
In honour of you, who's feet I humbly touch
I shall greet each day with limitless joy
Capture every sparkling moment in my heart's nest

Play A Game
Hey hey hey
let's have some fun with
poetics
Gads, wha'
Let's play who said:
'Marie, Marie! Hold on tight! '
No! How 'bout
'Do not go gentle into that good night'
Close, but no. Try
'The best laid plans of mice and men'
Steinbeck? Close again
But no.
Last one
'If I can stop one heart from breaking'

Look Back From Me
Hugely great cogs have meshed
squared teeth and turned
those many gears and wheels of existence
space, time, fame, fortune
until you and I have come
page to face
With blind words I greet you,
with utmost humility I stand
quill tucked neatly behind ear
knowing not what you seek
less again what I can possibly offer
You must answer for yourself
you are the greater part of the equation
your quest speaks loudly of determination
for I know myself to be difficult
I am but a lesser value
with little, if anything

I'm not looking my Someday best
I'm not looking my Someday best
The heart's smoked out abusively
And busted on the porn romance syndrome
And what with capricious bad verve
And morbid ecological anxiety
And sustained economic diarrhea
And acute political devaluation
And convulsive religious paroxysms
And blighted philosophical musings by morons
And the steady diet of mass media feeding frenzy
With everyone overlied and brain crisp¸
Not to mention the increased virtual dyslexia
Nor the arachnoid addiction to fail
Nor the ¢ash filled Gagaian cultural wasteland
Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby ad nauseaum
And after the flood there comes dead aid
Of course I'm grumpy
Nothing is on time
Tic-toc suck my profanity

D'Ex Treme
Bulldog'z on the bromide
Waltzing totally tonged Roxy Starburst
Thru a minuet al denté
Around the arena of Lust
She's so chewy - Yeah
Do yo' own thang man
Right!
Like that's feasible
Or even remotely acceptable socially
Beyond the age of two
Greens every day you must eat
Four food groups, count ‘em
Concern must be directed towards regularity
Adage: sound mind...
Duh
So ya wanna be radical
Hard road dude, full load a bitching all round

Please Excuse
Venerable old man
shaken by some frisky wind
please excuse
for I too
am a venerable old man
come from the world of cool
so I'm told
You've camped by the fireside
bricked in the oven, over long
I fear
It is unintentional
if ashes and cinders blow about
the robes are turbulent
the times unruly
disciples are delinquent
theirs is a faith
of free doubt and hard question
