Latches

Where there are complicated relationships
We are the latches
When there are bolted doors
We are the latches
Chances are mending

There are dying dreams
There are falling angels
We do not trail transgressed roads
Everything for us is a good expectation
We do not quail, we do not lose hearts

Sparrows

The sparrows are out tonight
In the expanse of the sky
Dashing in different motions
Like flames in several portions

Every glide tells a narrative
Soaring a pungent account
From page 1 to page 101
Sparrows can tell diverse stories

They tell me something
They give me signs
Of life and of love
Of life and of love

Linen Papers

I write love letters
On linen papers
Longer, sweeter
They talk
Like radios
Words surreal
Of thousand raptures
They speak
Like televisions
They vibrate
Frequency of worship

I write you
These words
On linen papers
Earnest laughs
Of many delights
We often hear
Random I love you’s
We talk of them

Byzantine Ghetto

Abject poverty
Roofless homes
Three-walled square
Partiality of bread
There is hunger

Half-filled glass
Filthy water
Rancid air
Black smokes
There is pollution

Naked children
Strapless baskets
Untimely deaths
Drought everywhere
There is scarcity

Restricted democrats
Cruel brotherhood

The Cinderella Road

We picked sunflowers on a summer glade
Chased the butterflies of many colors
The golden sun gutters a ray of life
Our songs on a Sunday morning are delight

Life can be a pancake of honey and butter
Our mouth savors a sweet taste of heaven
We crave the piquant not the bland
Our kitchen is a diverse mixture of oil and spice

This is the Cinderella road
We left a smidgen of hopeless home
We smile at this new ambiance
Our spoons are filled with cinnamon grains

Rain Water

Morning of 21st, I am 34.
The rain outside my window drizzles a rhythm of February dawn.

Rain water flows from the early morning sane—
Rain water washes the yesterday’s pain.

Rain water and I have loved you dear—
Rain water and you come close to me near.

Rain water taps my fingertips, and I love you more than yearning—
Rain water runs deeper into our skins of longing.

Morning of 21st, I am happier.
The rain won’t stop until I melt as a better person.

Black Insomia

Bad day
Headache rules my intellect
Forgotten laundry stuck in the vicinity of my kitchen
What is the noise
Of those rats in the cheap ceiling
I do not have cheese for a trap

Oh those antics of many juveniles
I heard some delinquency in the square
They abused a curfew hour and sniffed marijuana’s
A secret lair of those kids
They hide but no one is looking
Their revelry is a devil’s laugh

I sat without slumber
My cola tasted like rust
How many reports will be printed
On dailies worth a dollar each
This wicked hour
Sleep is not a chum

Chap's Centimeter

Chap’s centimeter—
Longer, higher
Unreachable by
A mile from where
We are
The sins that
Mothers hush up
Keep the children
At the school—
Worried, disturbed

Chap’s centimeter—
Deeper, stronger
Misunderstood by
Intelligent minds
In the stock market
And church and government—
The treasures that
Mothers earn
Are kept safely

Baby Let Me Hold You For The Last Time

This love lasts for you and me
But heaven took you away
From these arms of mine
It feels worthless, I come undone
Sorry for these tears
Oh my darling, I’m so alone
You’re far, far away from me
This distance cannot bind
Our longing, our shadows
I woke up and found none
Hard to understand this life
I ‘m so in love, but you’re gone
Tell me how you are
And I’ll tell you how
I missed the days we dance
All your smiles, your laughs
They slowly fade
Like a cloud in the sky
This bittersweet life
I am heartbreaking

Birds Are Not My Epic

When I’ll write an epic for the animals
Particularly birds with their wings and beaks and claws
They’ll make me sick to think of them in the bathroom
When all the intense images I’ll see are them flying
Over and above my head out from the shower faucet
Those weird throbbing like needles on my skins
Are brandishing my mortality to hate the images
I admit of them my number one phobia
I cannot run a writing race overnight with such of them as characters
They can be epic but they cannot be mine
Say if my rationality is purely an excuse
But I am this mortal who does fear
Birds are birds and I cannot undress them
Who has dreads and who has courage?
Birds are not my epic
