In The Mood

Hear that rhythm, check that beat,
Feel that pulse beneath your feet,
Find that tempo, measure the pace,
Perceive that smile upon your face.
Music is such a magic sound,
Throbbing through the underground,
Rising up to assail the ears,
Supplying too, a few apt tears,
Without it, life would be subdued,
So up that volume, get in the mood!

Two Timing Toad

I hop on a bus, I race for a train,
Just to get back to see you again,
I hail a late taxi, and when I get there,
'She' opens the door with a 'rose' in her hair.

How can you love me, and love her as well,
To find her with you is absolute hell,
What a two timing toad, you've turned out to be,
Her 'rose' is the same, as the one you gave me.

Who Would Defray

Stuck in a rut,
That's me, and shut
In by routine,
Do you know what I mean!

Boredom's set in,
Life's pretty thin,
What's to be done
When there's no fun!

Just need a break,
Would love to take
A few days away,
But who would defray!

Cos I'm totally broke,
And that is no joke,
So I'm sat here on my butt
Still stuck in a rut!

Electric Might

Rich jet-black sky,
lightning flashes.
Thunder is nigh,
hear the crashes.

Globe’s vibrating,
due to a storm.
Escalating,
craves to perform.

Massive power,
electric might.
Midnight hour,
elements fight.

Scan canopy,
see lethal fire.
Deft devilry,
shock supplier.

The Eventual Goal

Lift your eyes and look towards the sun,
Let these rays bring comfort to your day,
Raise up your spirit, let the fight begin,
Hold on to all your hopes, do not give way,
And then in time, again the sun will rise,
Piercing through the darkness of your soul,
Bringing with it the very greatest prize,
A wholeness which will be your eventual goal.

Featherbed

Clouds all tumbling steadily along, way up above my head,
Looking, Oh, so cosy, like an exquisite featherbed.
I could just relax there, within those many rolling hills,
And sleep, and dream away my cares, my sorrows and my ills.
Floating across the blue expanse of sky and space anew,
I 'd thus become as light as air, and could bid the world adieu.

A Rejuvenated You

Sit and let the world go by,
Dream your dreams, give a sigh,
Let your imagination fly,
Into directions new.

Charm away the gremlin's knock,
All his weird temptations mock,
So that his foundations rock,
And disappear from view.

Feel a real contentment now,
Lift way up that furrowed brow,
And let all of your thoughts allow,
A rejuvenated you.

The Tulip

Tossing turban style contours, with an aloofness as one passes by,
Utilizing every charm it possesses, under a lupin blue cloudless sky,
Like a guardsman, gallantly standing, holding up his noble head high,
In rainbow colours, brilliant and stately, a vision to surely yield a sigh,
Ponder thus upon the regal tulip, it has pure beauty, you cannot deny.

Hold You In My Smile

Sweet moment, stay with me,
and pray do not flee so soon,
Let me enjoy the bliss of that
first kiss beneath the moon.
I wish to cradle this feeling,
that has only just been found,
A feeling that has unexpectedly
turned my world around.
Do not depart, Oh please remain
within my heart awhile,
So that I can savour you once more,
and hold you in my smile.

Baby Mine

Baby sweet, baby mine,
King of Kings, so sublime,
Born for us on Christmas Day,
Master of all that you'll survey.

Baby dear, baby fine,
Lord of Lords, so divine,
Your birth we celebrate, and share
Our lives with you, as we say your prayer.

Baby loved, baby shine,
God, Creator, we are thine,
Be our Father, dwell within
Our souls, and let our praise begin.
