To-Fix-List
And under the aching
of some contemporary love affair
Beneath the passion
for some present political crime
-was always my ever lasting always ending
'Life, the Universe and Everything'
-My highest priority on the list
I had to do grocery shopping
just to forget about.

Comfort Food (and nightly cries)
Tears and hot chocolate
are a good
combination
Not just
because
they make a taste sensation
out of
ur bitter-sweet love
affair
But also
because they're a love
you can buy
A comfort
in the middle of the
night
When the past
appears to vivid
and the future
too terrifyingly
predictable

Poetry revolution
Our interactive poetry
working toghether against
one-sided word poverty
Quickly penned monologue
makes no difference
to emotional dialogue
Through interaction we could
reach above and beyond
what quiet syllables would
And though I seldom speak
of a poetry revolution
I know our words are not weak
We can create tomorrow
through writing toghether
let's make one of less sorrow

The Poetry Movement
My poems are not sacred
Not something beautiful
-I leave for the afterworld to admire
They are but products
of my pen and mind
-To stay true to these is all I aspire
I don't believe in elitistic poetry
or the words of the Few and Great
-It is the Poetry Movement I desire
I'd like to scream over the rooftops
'Poetry to the people, Poetry of the masses'
-But I know my written words will reach further and higher

Juggeling justice
In the absence of justice
we wrote a book of Law
In lack of a devine Equality
we built or society on flaw
For the Priviliged ones
This was a land of opportunity
But for any to cross its Borders
it was a cold system, without care for dignity
For although we hoped for a Better Future
and believed we were working for one
we kept the people that would make that possible
Constantly shut away from our sun.
In the absence of justice
we said 'every man on his own'
yet believed we still had the right
to others' lives and opportunities own

Solitude, Solidarity
Solitude, Solidarity
alone all the same
Abandonement, Redemption
we weren't playing the same game
You could smile and patronize
laugh and call me baby
Oh, how I never realized
That your promises were maybes
Pretty words and lovely lies
Only saw the perfect picture
Trusted you as the Only Man
although we were a messy mixture
Exposed and trembling
My love was expressed
Broken and shattered
with my heart out my chest
But there were also

America- my prejudices and truths
I guess it's always been a truth to me
That America has a failure destiny
Beyond that idea I could not see
But for these thoughts we'll pay a fee
If we don't act on reality now
Than in front of less democratic forces we'll bow
For to every fascism state of today
America's the greatest enemy, they say
that without Bush they'd rule the world
And replacing one conservative superpower
with another, well that won't create a better world
And instead the heroin will spread as flour
and weapons will become our everyday life
I don't care for Allah or Jesus, I won't be another oppressed wife
I believe in human values and rights
And we'll never reach that through murders and fights
I am not saying we should all take America's lead
But if we work toghether, there are more mouths we can feed.

Summer in the City
There's something about parks
- as though there's more air to breathe
More space to hope, dream, think, feel
But none for stress, isolation or fear
A safe zone for happiness
A vacuum of liberty
A state of honest beauty
A black box of great realizations
A place where we open our doors
and remove our walls
- like the man passing by with his shirt buttoned down and his jacket swinging from the relaxed shouder
A place where we're open for new impressions and unafraid to express ourselves
- like the girls with the notebooks, the boys with the cameras, on the benches, looking eagerly for things to live through
A place to meet
- like the strangers discussing weather, politics and fates and couples tangled toghether under the trees. Like the old loners seing themselves for the first time.
