The Pawi

The Trinidad Piping Guan or Pawi
Is a large turkey-like looking bird
With a long slender neck and long tail feathers
That gives it a majestic appearance when perched

Pawi can be found in the Northern Range
And in remote forested regions
They feed on fruit and seeds
And live with little human interactions

The Pawi is threatened by habitat loss
And continuing illegal hunting by you and me
The responsibility is up to us
Protect the Pawi
