Rich and Full
There’s a taste of fall
A hint of earth
A dash of October
In you
But you smell like November
Rich and full
Like cinnamon on top
And spice below
And when loving you is done
Your smile chases away
My lonely Decembers
And I feel February
Closer than the months
Its behind
When your lips reach mine
I feel the heat of summer
Warming this body
As white as snow
And in the glow of a love
Rich and full

Worn On
Baby
You wear my ring so well
Like my heart
On your sleeve
I’ll manage
I’ll cope
While you grope
For answers
In the dark corners
Of your mind
But Baby
I’ll be your guide
Through trials
Through the files
Of emotions you keep
Let my light seep
Into the gaping wounds
And help heal
Whatever’s broken
Baby, you wear my ring

Discover
I used to stand alone
A civilization of just me
The only inhabitant
My mind
A culture of solitude
A lone figure
Crowded by the population
A culture of pretenders
A civilization of imitators
But the sky is never faithful
To the Sun
Mingling and twirling with clouds
So it came to pass
Under that blue sky
With white puffs of hope
That I met you
In halls
That no longer stand
A testament to time
A time of change

Tangible
How do I explain something tangible
Like the breeze against my skin
Just there
Tossing strands of hair
Here and there
How do I explain something so grand
It has no words
Do I stand in the Parthenon
Asking your patron for the right words
When I cant find them
Just so you know
Do I tell you that despite our human nature
Sometimes the gift of thought
Transcends when the stars align
And the future
Big or small
Is in your smile
But how do I tell you
How do I tell you
Without epic confusion

Written With Love
I’d write you poems with my tongue
An epic or a classic
That flowed as seamlessly as your curves
From head to toe
From first line to fin
I’d trace delicate lines
Hold delicate words on the tip of my being
If only it helped you see
My feelings
On tanned molecules
Your flesh
I’d scribble about skyscrapers
I’d show you fireworks
With my mouth
I’d spin a tale better than Aladdin
And his magic genie
You’d be my Princess
The world would never know what came next
We’d be that intricate
