If I told you I tried real hard
would you believe me?
If I spoke to you about how I feel
would you believe me?
If I spilled everything
would you believe me?
If I showed you my dream world
would you believe me?
If I painted my life on a page
would you believe me?
If I danced the dangerous game that I play
would you believe me?
If I never lied once
would you believe me?
If I gave my all

Why is it that when I give you my only truth you never believe in me?

A flower, a flower
wont anyone give me a flower?
But no one stops, no one listens
I am no more than a shadow calling out
though shielding away from the light
Afraid to be hurt more than I have been
Searching for someone to help
but find nothing but refusal and hurt

To my dear friend, who brought me back from a terrible place
A dear friend lifts you up,
brings you back from a hellish life.
A dear friend makes you smile,
even as tears stream down your face.
A dear friend shows you that life has meaning,
that your worth something and you belong.
A dear friend tells you how they care,
let you know that you are important and priceless to them.
A dear friend loves you no matter what,
no matter your imperfections or you faults.
A dear friend is always there,

Fire is my life, fire is my hope, fire is my everything.
Confusion, whipping, whirling never ending.
Always colder, always harder, cruel and devastating all in one.

Searching for warmth, searching to hide, searching to survive.

when your sister tells you she hates you
the next day your going away
she deletes all your contacts,
throes away all your pics
tells you she'll never talk to you again
damns you to hell
calls you a judgmental b****
