Disappearing Act
Chivalry, nobility, courting
They are all just words in my head
No longer these acts performed
They are all dead
They died with their relatives love and romance
The peaceful doves that had you entranced
These things gave you light
Made you believe in love at first sight
But no longer do we work for that girl, that date
We have all become lazy and leave it to fate
No longer these acts a part of our life
We all just wallow in sorrow and strife
No longer in the times of Shakespeare's plays
Where love and romance ruled the days
In the food we eat and the air we breathe
Now it has hidden and taken it's leave
All these must be performed once again
And it is us who shall bring it from the dead, my friend
