We are a Train (Through the Eyes of a Grandmother)

I look down at myself
So small and innocent
So responsible and mature

We are a Train
Each car following
Slowly and steadily

It’s a privilege to discover
How each follows the first
Precisely though by fault

I admire the car in front of me
So trustworthy and comforting
And yet familiar

We are a train
Each car following
As time goes by
