My Heart's Funeral
My heart is so cold, if I put it in a fire
It would still be freezing
It’s fatally broken and bleeding
But don’t try to save it
Because it’s resistant to every form of healing
On the battlefield of love
My heart was a soldier
But today that soldier shall die
Pain feels so familiar
And love is pain so I want neither
I’m leaving it all behind
I don’t even want the memories
Because I was betrayed by love
Who was my savior, now my murderer
And worst enemy
Love is like a cake
I only wanted a piece
May my love-less heart forever R.I.P.

Mr Love Please Retire
You were my best friend
I followed you because I believed you
But you lead me astray
And kept my happiness at bay

You’ve filled my heart with so much sorrow
And filled tomorrow
With tangible horror
My life’s so shallow
That a measure of happiness I long to borrow
For everyone with a broken heart
I speak on their behalf
You failed at your job

Yet as surely as sunrise turns to sunset
Her beauty faded
At forty one, she is petrified
Her perfection has been flawed
A soft skin has become hard
The effects of age she tries to control
Though sooner or later we must all grow old
Now sixty one, she is desolate
Longing for her beauty that once was
She has lost what she most loved
In torment she watches
