A Positive Thought
Tomorrow is another day
I'll leave this one behind
I'll wake up, get out of bed
A better day I'll find
When I rise I'll paint a smile
Upon this face of mine
Go outside, face the world
Let people know I'm fine
I have my ups and my downs
At times my life is fraught
But I find it always best
To gather a positive thought

A Troubled Mind
People parked outside my house
They must be after me
I wish that they would go away
They scare me lots you see
Inside my head I hear a voice
I wonder if I'm mad
Anguished and tormented
This illness makes me sad
I'm not insane, just I am ill
Inside my given mind
No person really understands
Its like that they are blind
I pray to God every day
For him to make me well,
Please dear lord heed my prayer
Take me from this hell.

Aches and Pains
Aches and pains, joints a creaking
Driving me insane
Knees go crack, hips dislodge
I'm walking like John Wayne!
Lines and wrinkles, needs some filler
These creases need to go
I also need a miracle cure
For the pain in my big toe!
Boobs headed south, hair's gone thin
My bum has got too fat
Eyes can't see much anymore
I'm almost blind as a bat!
My hearings gone I need an aid
And now the battery died
This age that's creeping up on me
I really can't abide!

We'll Meet Again
Try not be sad
when you say goodbye
I've passed from your world
but I didn't die
I've gone to another
Beautiful land
Surrounded by love
Gods holding my hand
It's peaceful here
No sorrow or pain
Eternal sunshine
No dismal rain
My dearest granddaughter
Do not weep
Just try and think
I'm in a deep sleep

I Didn't Die
I know you will be sad
I left the place you know
I walked the stairs to Heaven
It was my time to go
My passing was so sudden
God came and took my hand
I didn't suffer, I'm not in pain
I'm in a beautiful land
For those I left behind
I know you'll shed a tear
But now I am with God at peace
I'm very happy here
Remember me with happiness
The good times that we shared
Also please remember
For you how much I cared

The Scale
I rise out of bed, what do I find?
My bathroom scales are first on my mind
My daily routine, is get out of bed
Then to the bathroom is where I'll head
I tread ever so gently onto the scale
Then say a prayer whilst a breath I inhale
Please dear lord the pounds I am needing
Are a little bit lower than yesterdays reading
Now when I think of my calorie intake
A good weight loss reading I have to forsake
Eat less and exercise, drink no wine
I'll then lose some weight and I'll be on cloud nine
So now here we have a brand new day
Today I'll be good come what may!

Changing Seasons
looking out my window
I see a dismal day
I ask myself 'where's summer gone? '
I guess its gone on its way
Fire's on, turned up high
Bills will go through the ceiling
I really hate these kind of days
They cause a miserable feeling
I'll stay indoors, not venture out
In the depressing, awful storm
I'm happier here inside my house
Where its nice and warm!
The Wintry season has appeared
and Summer is no more
We'll all be wet and shivering
Frozen to the core!

Sunk & Disorderly
I've got these Winter blues
That crept upon my being
The nights are dark and very cold
So cold I keep on peeing
This seasonal disorder
That sneaked up very quickly
Makes one feel so very low
And even sometimes sickly
These dismal, dark and gloomy nights
Cause a miserable facial expression
They make one want to stay in bed
Gives great feeling of depression
I think I'll now take to my bed
My brains gone all defective
Apparently I'm suffering ‘SAD'
A disorder that's affective!

The Mirror
I look in the mirror, what do I see
An large, ageing woman that I don't want to be
I'm kidding myself that the mirror tells lies
But deep down I know I'm really that size
A tummy tuck's needed, also some lipo
I'm beginning to resemble a really big hippo
Could do with an uplift, my boobs went all saggy
What about my skin? that's gone all baggy!
I've noticed some creases under my eyes
I think I could do with a whole new disguise
I liken my faceskin to a Savoy cabbage leaf
All these flaws are causing me grief
The joints all need oiling, you should hear them creak
You can really tell that I'm an ageing antique
But I've decided I'm not going to stress
Because guess what? this antique is priceless

Heavenly Soldier
The soldier who died fighting
Now stood at Heavens gate
Would the Lord embrace him?
He waited for his fate
God now asked the soldier
Do you deserve a place
Here with these good people
From the human race?
The soldier thinks awhile
Then tells God his thought
No Lord I'm not perfect
But for my fellow man I fought
I carried a gun, I opened fire,
I threw a hand grenade
I didn't want to kill him
I knelt by him and prayed
