Preditors In Our Midst
Preditors in our midst
The ‘stars' I once looked up to
A long time way back when
The idols of my childhood
It appears are just dirty old men
The first one who would fix it for kids
Had everyone fooled it would seem
While he promised to fulfil their dreams
Kids would hold him in high esteem
He would pose as a kindly man
Who pretended he really cared
But now the truth has been revealed
How victims of his were ensnared
For his own despicable pleasure
These poor little innocents were used
The world is really sickened

Christmas Poem
Christmas is a coming
And we'll all be getting fatter
But at this time of year
It really doesn't matter
The turkey'll be stuffed
With lovely sausagemeat
The table will be dressed
Looking good and really neat
We'll be making roast potatoes
And also pigs in a blanket
The food will be aplenty
Rather like a banquet
There'll be sprouts on our plate
After which we'll be trumping
We'll stuff our belly way too much
And end up like a dumpling

Family Bond
Forty years ago today,
My sister bore a child
When I saw her baby girl
I recall I really smiled
I myself was still a child
I was only 12 years old
I loved this little girl so much
To me she was precious as gold
Over time I watched her grow
Our bond was very unique
I loved to hear her little voice
When she was learning to speak
This little girl was oh so shy
And the cutest there could be
A charming little character
This was plain to see

The Bully
Its that time again, I don't want to go
She will be there, she makes me feel low
Laughing at me she always mocks
Yet again my confidence she knocks
Stand up for yourself people would say
Tell her get lost, make her pay
This woman stood tall at the side of me
I felt so small, as small as can be
I always kept quiet, too scared to confront
But she never was, she was always so blunt
What is her problem I'd sit and wonder
If I spoke to her, her face was like thunder
When she struggled like a fool I would ask
Would you like me to help you do that task?
In an unmeaning way I made her inferior
See she wasn't so tough as her hard exterior

Lifes Path
Sitting here I ponder
What is life about
Its not always easy
Of that there is no doubt
First of all we're given life
I ask myself, for why?
We live a life, sometimes short
And then we go and die!
At baby stage we gurgle
Look cute and so appealing
But if we want our little way
You'll hear us loudly squealing
Then along comes toddler stage
Mothers patience really tried
Right now she's probably thinking
‘I want to run away and hide'
