Bloodshed 207

The Price of War Pt.2

War, an excuse for murder
Filled with pain and suffering
Consuming millions of lives

Towns set ablaze
Cities ravished by war
Entire countries decimated

Battlefields soaked with blood,
Riddled with bullets and bodies,
Will the bloodshed ever cease?

Is it ever really worth it?
How many lives must be lost?
In the end, does anyone really win?

Flames Of Life

The fire of the soul,
Constantly burning
Dreams and desires,
Keep the flames bright

When hope starts to fade, so does the fire
When dreams die, the fire feeds on memories
But it's not enough to sustain upon
Slowly but surely, the flames wither away

The fire burns itself out
Smoldering remains of life,
The ashes carried by the wind
Soon there is nothing left
